I saw a lone sailboat in this secluded cove, apparently taking cover from the pending rain. The sailors seemed so self sufficient, so independent. I envied them.
Lying like this at the beach and looking at the sky was so, so peaceful.
There are quite a few exciting shoots coming up this week, I can't wait!

I was just standing there, looking at the window. I didn't know what to do or say. I felt like everything was falling apart. The window was foggy and cold, like my heart. I wished I could see something different, something better. But all I saw was the same old street, the same old cars, the same old people. Nothing ever changed.

Needle bush. Needle I say more? Indescribably appealing floral fragrance, but keep your nose a safe distance from the thorns of sweet acacia or needle bush (Acacia farnesiana), Fabaceae family.
Beyond the reef and breakers, in the protected strait between the palms of the island of Maui and the cloud covered island of Lanai, with gathering storm clouds above making for a beautiful early evening sky ... soon to be followed, however, by a tropical downpour and heaving seas out beyond the islands!

Southampton has become a real fishing port. I counted 3 fishing tugs in the little harbour. Benjamin-Charles is just one. On this day there were men maintaining their tug. Winter layup is the perfect time to do maintenance.
