Out yesterday with Pauls Pix 53 for a wander around Rye.
I decided to have a mono day in a vertical 4x3 ratio and getting the camera close to the ground.
I did get some funny looks, and some where even brave enough to asked what I was photographing :)))
We went over to Rye today, for lunch and a wander.
This is West Street and about the first time I've seen it with hardly anyone, or cars! The weather was nice and sunny and yet there weren't many people about.

Rye's white smock windmill is a grade II listed building standing on the banks of the river Tillingham,
It was my Partners birthday yesterday and decided to seek some sea air. And had to grab my camera and tripod as I left home the clouds were looking good and was hoping to grab a coastal long exposure. When driving to Rye Harbour we passed through rain and when we got to the harbour we had passed through it. The clouds were to me playing nicely not very nicely mind you as want to grab a long exposure but the clouds were not moving fast so decided to grab a shot just the normal way and to me It works nicely.
Hope you like :)

Spotted in an antique shop in Rye.
Probably from a hotel or large store.

From St. Mary’s Church Tower
this north-westerly view takes in
an elegant Georgian dwelling, in pink,
part of the amazing Mermaid Street,
with its incredible array of perfectly preserved
Tudor and pre-Tudor cottages and Hostelries
on a medieval, cobbled street,
Rye Windmill and farmland
to the north of Winchelsea.

The sea-port on cliffs
surrounded by land,
is now a river-port
on the River Rother,
and a place I never tire of visiting.
