After two coats of Rustoleum Painter's Touch in "Grape" color, and one coat of clearcoat.

I call them my "hipster wheels". It's all about having fun with the car. These may not look the most subtle or classy, but they're head turners and definitely not boring!

I had no problem getting all the fenders off, except for the right rear one. The "nut" that's part of the body decided to spin and I had to use a hack saw blade to cut in half. I still have 8 other bolts holding the fender on until this "nut" can be welded back in place and sheared bolt can be extracted

I used a Rust-Oleum product made for painting appliances that had epoxy in it. Unfortunately it didn't work as advertised and made a mess of the wheels. I tried several other cans but it was all the same and caused me a lot of extra work.

This cabinet has undergone several laps of painting and sanding. I primered with Wal-Mart black, then 3 coats of semi-gloss Rustoleum black. It's curing, and will be ready for decals when they arrive.

The Rustoleum "Biscuit" Appliance Epoxy paint matches VERY well on this 3-1/2 yr old Scamp.

Still looks good after 3-1/2 more years! (Proven)

I primed this one with Rustoleum Gray Primer. It worked out pretty well.

Just messing around with the camera in the garage after clean-up. I took this sepia-tone as the sun as setting over the driver's fender.

With this particular historical Tiger I diorama I did not concern myself with having to buy actual "military" paint colors.

Most if not all the necessary colors for historical modeling and wargaming can be found in Vallejo's, Citadel's, and Foundry's standard paint ranges.

Rather than worry about getting a specific "Panzer Gray" for the crew's and soldiers' uniforms, I simply chose a plain looking medium gray in the form of Rustoleum's flat gray primer. It makes for a perfect WWII German gray shade.

For the flesh of the faces I returned to Citadel Contrasts. The faces are base coated with Citadel Wraithbone layer paint with a coat of Contrast Guilliman Flesh over it.

I really like how the Guilliman Flesh gives a ruddy, sort of weather beaten, wind-blown color to the faces. It's the perfect look for a WWII diorama set in a cold, winter setting.

Three tracks running today. There were times when there were two trains on two different tracks in different directions, and I had to keep looking back and forth so I wouldn't miss an amazing piece rolling by behind my back.. A little sketchy today

as someone thought is would be a good idea to be out shooting today. Not with a camera, but a gun. I couldn't figure out where they were, but it was close.

Also, some sort of instagram photo shoot going on under one of the train trestles. Obviously with the graffiti in the background. :-)

Rusto left trackside to rust. Ironic.

My favorite custom to date! I love this figure, and I'm sooo psyched on the stencil :-)

Got out of the house on Sunday. Got out, actually saw the sunshine, breathed soem actual fresh air, and loved every minute of it. Despite of what I would assume many people feel, I actually like going in to work. I don't want to work from home. I like to keep home and work as seperated as I can. But these are the times we live in, so I get out on the weekends.

Saw some amazing pieces today on both freights, and under/around the trestles. Was out for 4-5 hours, hiked around quite a bit, thought I was going to be hassled by the train police, but wasn't. Had a great time out there just waiting for the next train to come rolling through so I could see what I could see. 100X better than sitting at home, watching the news, and feeling like the world is falling down around me. Out there, the important thing to me is taking shots at amazing, and not so amazing graff pieces. Just documenting what I see, relaxing and watching the amazing world of graff roll by in front of me.

Good stuff.. Stay safe out there homies.

This is a little body work I did to fix a few dents prior to rollering. As you can see, I've already pulled all the chrome and running board from this side. Just gotta get that tail light off next.

!/4 inch steel welded to 1/8 not only strengthens this area, but will allow easy bolt removal if neccesary. The steel was rusty so it was treated with some Rustoleum rust treatment stuff (can't remember the name' but I remember the price- $95/gal!!) and then black rustoleum paint gobbed on.

Again, messing around with the camera and took this "dramatic" shot of the hind quarters of Pokey.

Saturday, out on a beer run, brought the camera and ran out to one of my spots, flicked one train. I waited for another further down the line, but it was taking forever, and it was hot so I drove back home.

BUT!! It actually turned out kinda' cool, because I caught a bunch of railroad equipment on its way to repair some tracks down the line. To be dropped off somewhere in the middle of the desert, where guys in orange or green vests' in hard hats with clipboards will point at other guys to "Get to work!" and yell incoherent instructions. Was happy to see this equipment roll by on a Saturday to reminds me that I had one more day off before going back to work.

As always, thanks to the Writers, my fellow Benchers and Railroad Workers across the globe. You're all doing good work!

Stay safe out there guys!!

It took about an hour but I got all those deep scratches and gouges from the wire wheel sanded down. The hood is now primed and ready for some oil-based enamel goodness!
