Candlesticks are an essential item for any Christmas table setting. Again, it doesn't matter what material you're painting – be it wood, metal or plastic – the paint is compatible. We took some black painted metal candle holders and sprayed them Chrome and added a set of red candles.

Out by myself again, in the desert, but not all that far from the road. Having a heat stroke, but having fun at the same time.
There were times when there was an hour or so between trains. I almost gave up, but my philosophy is, "Just one more train!" I usually leave when I run out of water and/or snacks.

The inside of the tub and 3 of the 4 sides primed with Rustoleum's Rusty Metal Primer. That should keep them from rusting any more for a long time. Now we just need to prime the underside and the end that was too close to the edge of the makeshift paint booth and the wagon will be ready to paint.
We picked up this wagon on Craigslist a few months ago, and thought that getting rid of the rust and restoring for Serenity's first Christmas would be a good project.

I had some time today to get out to the tracks for about 5-1/2 hours to one of my favorite sopts. Weather was great and there was a lot of activity.
Spotted quite a few great pieces, and a few pieces from a couple of my favorite writers. Lots of autoracks today!! Most of all, had fun! And that's what it's all about. When it's not fun anymore, quit..
Will be back in a few days to ID the pieces I can. If you know a writer's ID that I haven't identified, comment below. I have a hard time with some of them. After 10k pieces it's a lot easier, but ya' know..

We spray painted Rust-Oleum Metallic Chrome onto these two old napkin holders to give them a lovely Christmas feel.

One coat of glossy Rustoleum Colonial Red later, starting to resemble what one might expect a hydrant to look like...
If the internet searching hasn't misled us, a Clow hydrant, model 2036, with two (2) 2.5" discharges and a single 4.5" discharge; it was cast in 2001 and removed from service after being bumped during a construction project in the Monterey County area (and the water department required it be taken out of service.)
The hydrant is being cleaned and will be moving into our Fire Stations 4 Hire location in a few days.
A rare Friday off of work, and I got to spend it out hunting graff under bridges, and benching freights. Saw some amazing pieces and for like the 20th time when hiking, found a fairly large pron stash. Why is there so much of it out in the middle of nowhere?? WHY!!??
Went back out to a wall spot I haven't been to in months, and there were a bunch of new pieces. Happy to see this spot is still active.
