Day 44/365.

More or less the same set up as this photo.

Water plus iron plus oxygen plus time minus routine maintenance equals the basement sink run-off drain is ruined. The pipe in question literally crumbled in my hands during removal, as if the plumbing in our home were a material more akin to crackers than to iron.

They appear to be owned and on what is publicly accessable private property. Short of a dealership in the 50's, not sure I have ever seen this many of them in one place. all apear to be in horrendous condition. Not sure there is a motor in the lot.

My trips to race at Carolina Motorsports Park are usually rushed, but thebroken car Sunday allowed me to take pix of area stuff that I have always wanted to photo!

Steve's Trim Shop in downtown Albany has become a great source for rusted old vehicles.

These are growning up out of the mulch around our house. I almost missed them. We've had an abundance of all kinds of mushrooms this fall.

Excuse me while I post my occasional photo of rust. I like the contrast of orange and blue in this one.

Rusted bolt on the leg of an old pier

Luckily the rust was not too bad, but there were some isolated pin holes that were still surrounded by thick strong metal. These will need patching and POR15 will be applied afterwards to the entire rusted areas.

rust on the beach.

Rusted of all the worldly layers and having a peaceful sleep after that

Some long-abandoned, graffiti-covered train cars in Worthington, OH. They probably belong to the nearby Ohio Railway Museum, but haven't been touched in years. The earlier photos were taken in 2008, these are from 2020. Not much has changed, except more graffiti...

The circle is made by the base of a tin can.

Or a rust creature of some kind... found this in the Florida Keys when driving around with Ben looking for photo ops. The second story of a two-story-single-room apartment structure had burned itself hollow.

What this thing was originally, I have no clue.

I was on the fence about posting this pic. It's interesting, but so busy that there isn't a strong focus.
