At the right time of year, the rising sun probably throws all that sheet metal on the north wall into dramatic relief. Not in late October. A freight train blocked my access to the sunny side.

Still fascinated with corrosion, I tweaked the right face of this image by adding my rust picture over it. I was surprised with how well it turned out. Like it was supposed to be there all along.

 

And I also need to give credit where credit is due. This gorgeous picture of Zion was taken by John Gillett which I found on Google Earth. For some reason, many images on Google Images are not real crispy clear. I end up going to places OTHER than Google Images if I need a picture.

 

While we were eating lunch in the car at the Coyote Lake Dam, I watched this Rock Wren continually land on this small round structure. Seemed like a good high spot to look for insects to grab on the ground. I hoped it would perch there again when I got over with my camera and it was quite cooperative. Weird perch but I like the rust and bolts.

This is part of a sculpture of a kangaroo using rusted parts. The nut is the left eye of the kangaroo.

Just another car sitting, getting stripped piece by piece.

  

I love geometric patterns, especially in layers. Therefore this pile of old fence really stood out for me.
