More uses for the buttons.... Shoe clips came to mind. I love all those pricey embellished flats, but not the prices. So shoe clips are the next best thing to jazz up my feet. They're great for sandals too.

This pair of clips above are great, the colors went really well together. I've had these shoes a long time, and the two little buttons on the side are wearing down, so I just clipped these over them, and away we go, new pair of shoes!!

97/365. A photo a day for a year.

It' s an old kind of rust in front of a windows, covered by wood.

Image created with Bresser Biolux NV microscope and compact camera, 3 images were stacked using photoshop to create a wider depth of field.

Pear rust is a Biotroph fungus which cannot survive on dead plant matter so keeps its host alive. It attacks Pears during the summer but moves to Juniper leaves during the winter as Pears shed their leaves. It needs two hosts in order to survive because of this.

Something a bit different for a change.

I had a hard time deciding on a photo today. I went to the grocery store, and they had some beautiful rust colored flowers. But in the end I like this one best. I guess I'm just partial to leaves, and the colors are so pretty. And I know that these will be brown and another week or two, and the grocery store will probably still have the beautiful rust flowers, so I can get them next time.

This rusting caboose is sitting outside of the old Canaan Train Station in Canaan, Connecticut. The station is closed now and I am not sure exactly what is planned for the old station. It appears their is some reuse planning going on.
