Measuring #instruments -- Slide Rule. This was used by my father-in-law in high school in the 1930's. Used for multiplication, division and some geometry. Later Slide Rules had log rhythms.
Rule of composition
- The frame was divided into thirds and the man standing was the main subject who was placed at one of the intersection points of the frame.
Why it's a good photo.
- The scenery is stunning especially with the pop of orange being exulted by the sun. The ripples from the water brings texture to the image and even though the main subject is something simple like a man standing, it somehow brings the image together.
How can it be improved
- The shot could have been taken horizontally so that more of the background can be seen so that the man can be clearly seen portraying the rule of thirds.
This is a picture of a girl jumping. It is an excellent example of rule of thirds because she is not centered in the frame. I like this photo because it captures a sense of flying(movement) and it craetes a sence of hapiness and fun.

- The frame can be divided into thirds and the main subject which is the tree is located in one of the intersection points. This is the natural point of interest for the viewers.
Why is this a good picture
- This picture is a good picture because it shows the colour changing of the sky naturally (from light blue to darker blue) and it is also a good example of the rule of composition which is the rule of thirds.
How can this be improved
- This picture can be improved if object is changed into a more obvious one because it is quite hard to identify where is the intersection points by looking at the picture.
