"Do not spit saliva or phlegm, or discard cigarette stubs, or litter by throwing dirt or rubbish in public areas, on the streets, or on the ground. Offenders will be subject to a fine of a maximum of 2,000 baht" - Vadhana District Office.

There is an obvious effort to prohibit littering, however, these rules are seldom followed.

the hand is in the lower corner, making this rule of thirds. also the wine glass.

The tree trunk is the point of interest and is on the the 2nd verticle line, the top is on the first horizontal, meaning the eye is naturally drawn to it.

Insofar as any rules apply to photography then perhaps this is amongst the most useful.

(. . not a new photo . . . but I must have seen something which brought it back to mind :) )

What: some type of rose

Where: in our garden

DATE: 31/8/08

-the rule of thirds is displayed here, because in the right third you have 2 roses, in the middle third you also have 2 roses, and in the left third you have no roses. In the upper third the same two *right* roses, in the middle third the same two *middle* roses, and in the botten third no roses, just stems and leaves

Or is this an X character I don't know about?

This photo represents the rule of thirds and the vertical is sometimes stronger rules.
