This is Elizabeth, a limited editions Siblies doll by Ruby Red.
I made her dress, inspired by a Sears 1979 Fall Winter catalog picture.

(I do plan to make all the other ones within the next 65 years)

"Pomegranates are small deciduous, semi-hardy trees or large shrubs. The fruit is globular to oblate up to 4 inches diameter, with the calyx persistent at the terminal, even in the ripe fruits. The outer rind is smooth and rather thin. Within, the fruit is filled with seeds, each imbedded in juicy pulp, and this pulp is commonly the edible portion. Seeds and pulp may be scooped out and pressed for juice, or the pulp and seeds may be separated in the mouth. The rind, boiled, has long been used as a remedy for tapeworm. The plant is highly ornamental, both in flower and fruit, and is found in many southern gardens, and also as a potted plant."

The Broad-billed Tody (Todus subulatus) is one of the two species of tody native to the island of Hispaniola. It can be identified by its small size, stubby beak, ruby-red throat, and green back.
While its close relative, the Narrow-billed Tody is more prevalent in the higher altitude areas, the Broad-billed Tody prefers lower altitude habitats. To nest, it digs into a river bank, similar to a kingfisher.
The Broad-billed Tody is evaluated as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.

Luscious, juicy, fresh ruby-red raspberries, and the sweet taste of fresh basil ~ the flavours I used in one of my latest creations, a scrumptious, rich (but NOT heavy!), coffee cake.

This is one of the designs taking part in Sanrio T-shirt design contest for a chance to be featured on official Sanrio merchandise. I was really looking forward to making another My Melody design, but then this thing popped into my head and was so different from all the other ideas, that it stuck. Though she hardly needs introduction - world famous Kitty White herself:
Follow the above link to go rate the design.
The winner of the contest will be determined by popular vote, so it's up to you to decide which one will make it!
If you like this design be sure to vote, share, post, re-post, blog, link, fave... spread the word about it by any means most suitable, to make sure your favourite gains popularity and ratings. You have until 8th of November - that's plenty of time to rate and invite your friends and followers to do the same.
This is a great opportunity to show Sanrio what kind of styles you'd like to see from them.
Though all 'cute' - as is to be expected of Sanrio -
the submitted designs each represent bit different sensibilities: 90's retro pop kawaii, girly pink romantic / sweet lolita, naval chic and what I can only describe as maybe glam, swag or bling (^ - ^)>
By rating the designs that best represent your tastes you'll be indicating what kind of styles you'd prefer.

Awesome shoe I saw in Office today- so cool!!
I am not really a shoe-ey person, but I do have a weakness for 60's style red stiletto heels- I am tall enough as it is though, and will probably never have enough money to buy them- ah well, 'tis life.
MY PHONE IS WORKING AGAIN!!! YAAAAAAY!! I bought a new battery today in Puddlesville (That's all my funds down the drain, and I had to earn it all by cleaning cars (Pip's family's, Gran's, our two, next door's etc) and mending the bikes- (took AAAAAAAAGEES, as both wheels on each were punctured after an incident with some smashed glass last week, and the chains needed oiling- VAIR VAIR VAIR messy. Pip was very lazy and read one of my Georgia Nicholson diaries!!! AAARRRRGGHH) - reason I could go to Office.
