Made this for my most adored tia who is visiting from Chile. Chocolate fudge cake infused with home made raspberry coulis and filled with chocolate mousse and raspberries. Crowned with fresh strawberries and raspberries, glazed with more syprup and wrapped in a patterened lilac chocolate collar.

I was recently given this cutting by a South African friend but no identification was offered at all. (He was using it as summer? bedding in his English garden - I've no idea about hardiness) I think it may be Crassula streyi but searches on the web seem to highlight cultivars of Crassula multicava: 'Ruby red' & 'Purple Dragon'. (Google searches show popularity in Australia) A comment on the following South African site refutes the idea that C. multicava either has red undersides to its leaves or is the parent of any hybrid with such:

It is actually tricky to photograph the underside of leaves and in my specimen above they are a darker maroon to the naked eye.

This is one of a pair of earrings my father bought my mother to celebrate their ruby wedding anniversary. My wife now has them so I 'borrowed' this one from her jewellery box for the theme.
The actual ruby stone measures 4.5mm across and was measured with the digital calliper which I used to illustrate 73 of 121 pictures - precision.
