"Meat"
artist: David Černý
Meat is a 17-foot-tall fiberglass and steel sculpture by Czech artist David Černý that depicts a red car shaped like a raw slab of meat hanging from a giant nail. Installed in March 2025, it is located in downtown Palm Springs along the pedestrian walkway next to the Kimpton Rowan Palm Springs Hotel.

I finished the 2nd sock last winter, but quickly realized that I missed a repeat on the 2nd sock, so it was too small. I put it aside for way too long. Recently, I ripped back & added another repeat. Just in time, this is the winter to have as many pairs of hand knit socks as possible.
This was my first time knitting socks with the Magic Loop method. I love the Monkey Socks pattern ... it knits up so quickly.

Tiny clouded glass teardrops in a softened shade of rose red have been carefully and securely wrapped with gold tone wire in this pair of handmade earrings.
The glass drops in these earrings have been hand-dipped in clouding solution to create a satin sheen before set to dangle on delicate matching gold-tone hooks designed by hand for a unique and graceful shape.
