Without the access to a Ruby Tuesday in Los Angeles (and even if there were one, I wouldn't be able to eat the halaal-less meat) I took full advantage of the restaurant in the Citystars mall in Nasr City, Cairo.
We went last night to get stuff from Snippeys, and we decided (well I decided really) to eat dinner at the place I've been obsessed with for so long but had never ever been to.
What did I order? Bacon Cheeseburger. Oh yes. Cheese, beef, bacon. All halaal of course. It was tasty... but I wish I hadn't gone with the bacon. It gave the burger a werid taste. It didn't taste like real bacon (says Amy) but I was more interested in the beef anyway.
I was considering ordering a steak as well... but was unanimously convinced not to. I'll go back to doniate the sirloin, Inshallah, mark my words!

Fort Ruby: (Ruby Valley in northern White Pine County) Established in 1862 by Colonel Edward P. Connor with 600 men who marched all the way from Stockton, California. A reservation of six square miles was laid out and given the name Camp Ruby. Its name came from the nearby mountains where pioneers found "rubies" and "ruby sand," actually garnets, in the gravel of the streams.

Built in 1967, by Jakobson Shipyard of Oyster Bay, New York (hull #433) as the Texaco Fire Chief for Texaco Marine.
The tug was later acquired by Dann Ocean Towing of Miami, Florida where she was renamed as the Ruby M.
She is a model bow, twin screw ABS Maltese Cross A-1 Towing Service; Maltese Cross AMS certified tug. Powered by two Caterpillar D-398 TA diesel main engines with Caterpillar reduction gears turning via 7(in) shafts two 96(in) diameter by 60(in) fixed pitch propellers.
Her electrical service is provided by two Caterpillar generators one 40 kw and one 60 kw. The tug's capacities are 32,000 gallons of fuel oil, 100 gallons of hydraulic oil, 500 gallons of lube oil, 3,000 gallons potable water.
The towing gear consists of 1,200(ft) of 8(in) hawser.

After shooting RAW for years, I switched to JPEG (well the camera did and I did not recognized it). Processing JPEGS is really not as easy as it is with RAWs.

My very first car, a 1934 Austin Ruby Tourer in which I learned to drive! This was taken at Westward Ho! in 1963 after an epic 200 mile journey. (the pretty young thing astride the bonnet is, as I type this, sitting just 10 feet away from me!)
