This marked my first time visiting the Julie J. Metz Wetlands Bank, and it was a real treat. While I heard and saw a number of different species of birds, I wasn't able to get any quality shots. Just as I was heading back to the vehicle this little guy posed, and I do mean 'little'.
This wetlands is just a few miles from Leesylvania State Park where I took this shot earlier in the morning.
Thanks for looking!

i spent a week in London with my friend Ruby. I went out with the intention of achieving portraits of her, what i learnt at the beginning was that the emotions felt very ridged between Ruby and the camera. As the week progressed Ruby became much more comfortable with the presence of the camera. Here is one of the final results.
ca. 1929 --- Ziegfeld dancer Ruby Keeler (Mrs. Al Jolson) wearing a gray sleeveless top with drawstring collar and a black short shorts, standing on uneven stools, leaning forward with one hand on her hip and the other on her knee, smilling while looking up, with her shadow cast in background. --- Image by © Condé Nast Archive/CORBIS

A ruby tiger is a small fat pink moth, Phragmatobia fuliginosa to its friends. As its name suggests, it's part of the tiger moth family, whose beautiful colours put many of our day-flying butterflies to shame.
Ruby tigers in the north of England are often darker than their southern relatives, and there is even a rare yellow variety.
It feeds on dock, dandelion, plantain and golden-rod and is at home in many different habitats, from moors and rough hillsides to water meadows and gardens.
Yet another female has stolen my heart! Sadly, our love is unrequited because she remains firmly a Daddy's girl :(

East side (away from the setting sun). The deep ruby red looks better away from the sun. The sun was creating a yellowish cast which drained out some of the deep, rich red.
