A visit at the RTBF (french-talking public Belgian broadcasting company) "Blabla" kid show with digital art students from Erg (Ecole de Recherche Graphique) in Brussels to discover the NeuroVS 3D Virtual Studio, thanks to Françoise Pasteels and Bernard Halut.
NeuroVS is the first broadcast 3d Virtual Studio delivering the best features of DirectX gaming technology to TV show production. NeuroVS has been developed for complex productions using several cameras and tracking systems.
NeuroTV has developed and validated its virtual set in close collaboration with RTBF, Belgium major public broadcaster. Since 2004, the elections shows, kids’ shows, the news and other daily magazines or game shows are produced by RTBF with NeuroTV real-time 3d technology.
The actors or speakers are placed in front of a blue (or green) background which is replaced on the fly by a computer-generated 3d background. When connected to a camera tracking system or robotic heads, a virtual studio is almost like a real studio with the major exception that changing the studio backgrounds and decoration takes only a couple of minutes, not days.

Juan d'Oultremont, showcase at galerie Aliceday, Brussels, january 30, 2009.
Introducing "Megaphone's Judas" CD released on Freaksville Records.
Juan d'Oultremont : vocals, trumpet, toys.
Isabelle Wery : vocals.
Miam Monster Miam : sequences, sounds, guitar.
Pascal Scalp : guitar, sequences.
"If art is being where nobody's waiting for you, then Juan d'Outremont certainly is an artist. Performances, novels, theater plays, video clips, and even a few hit songs (among them "Coeur de loup" for Philippe Lafontaine, a number one in France). Record sleeves for Blue Note Records and appearances in a radio program for RTBF (the success show "Jeu des dictionnaires"). Colourless Belgian flags for people suffering from daltonism and erotic drawings. And now his second album as a recording artist for Freaksvillle Records, the infamous belgian label run by Miam Monster Miam. Pierre La Police made the album sleeve. Nine new songs about Judas Iscariot, trapeze girls and flood tourism. Nobody sings d'Outremont like d'Outremont. This records features amazing beats produced by Dj Mig One ( Starflam crew) , spectacular Commodore 64 sounds programmed by Chantal Goret, Vintage synthetisers by les enfants de Zardoz and off course amazing lyrics written by Juan."
