St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery (Ukrainian: Михайлівський золотоверхий монастир, Mykhaylivs’kyi zolotoverkhyi monastyr) is a functioning monastery in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. The monastery is located on the right bank of the Dnieper River on the edge of a bluff northeast of the Saint Sophia Cathedral. The site is located in the historic administrative Uppertown and overlooks the city's historical commercial and merchant quarter, the Podil neighbourhood.

Originally built in the Middle Ages by Sviatopolk II Iziaslavych, the monastery comprises the Cathedral itself, the Refectory of St. John the Divine, built in 1713, the Economic Gates, constructed in 1760 and the monastery's bell tower, which was added circa 1716–1719. The exterior of the structure was rebuilt in the Ukrainian Baroque style in the 18th century while the interior remained in its original Byzantine style. The original cathedral was demolished by the Soviet authorities in the 1930s, but was reconstructed and opened in 1999 following Ukrainian independence in 1991.

The Frisian Islands, also known as the Wadden Islands or Wadden Sea Islands, form an archipelago at the eastern edge of the North Sea in northwestern Europe, stretching from the northwest of the Netherlands through Germany to the west of Denmark. The islands shield the mudflat region of the Wadden Sea (large parts of which fall dry during low tide) from the North Sea.

In Albania, many Communist-era bunkers populate the landscape, relics of the paranoia of former dictator Enver Hoxha. Estimates range from 175,000 to 750,000.

Enver Hoxha, isolationist Stalinist feared attacks both from the Soviet Union and the West.

The bunkers were never used for their intended purpose during the years that Hoxha governed. The cost of constructing them was a heavy drain on Albania's resources.

The Reyers Tower is a telecommunication tower of the Belgian national radio and television broadcasters, RTBF and VRT. 80 m high, designed by the architect Roger Bastin, it was erected from 1979. The 44 m diameter, 4.000 tons dome was hoisted in 1980.

Grote Knip (Playa Kenepa Grandi, also called Playa Abou in Papiamento, translation: "Beach in a valley") is a beach on the Caribbean island of Curaçao, located at the western side of the island, between the villages of Westpunt and Lagun. The beach gives way to a small lagune between high rocks.

Grote Knip is freely accessible to the public. The beach is used as a starting point for snorkeling, due to the presence of a coral reef nearby.

The Royal Greenhouses of Laeken (Dutch: Koninklijke Serres van Laken, French: Serres Royales de Laeken), are a vast complex of monumental heated greenhouses in the park of the Royal Palace of Laeken in the north of Brussels. It is one of the major tourist attractions of the city.

The complex was commissioned by King Leopold II and designed by Alphonse Balat. Built between 1874 and 1895, the complex was finished with the completion of the so-called "Iron Church", a domed greenhouse that would originally serve as the royal chapel. The total floor surface of this immense complex is 2.5 hectares (270,000 square feet). 800,000 liters (over 200,000 US gallons) of fuel oil are needed each year to heat the buildings.

The complex can only be visited during a two/three-week period in April–May each year, when most flowers are in full bloom.

The dancing procession of Echternach is an annual Roman Catholic dancing procession held at Echternach, in eastern Luxembourg. Echternach's is the last traditional dancing procession in Europe.

The procession is held every Whit Tuesday around the streets of the city of Echternach. It honours Willibrord, the patron saint of Luxembourg, who established the Abbey of Echternach. Echternach has developed a strong tourism industry centred on the procession, which draws many thousands of tourists and pilgrims from around the world. The procession is inscribed in 2010 as hopping procession of Echternach on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Die Echternacher Springprozession ist eine religiöse Prozession, die jedes Jahr am Dienstag nach Pfingsten in Echternach in Luxemburg stattfindet. Die Teilnehmer „springen“ zu Polkamelodien in Reihen durch die Straßen der Stadt bis zum Grab des Heiligen Willibrord in der Echternacher Basilika.

The Royal Greenhouses of Laeken (Dutch: Koninklijke Serres van Laken, French: Serres Royales de Laeken), are a vast complex of monumental heated greenhouses in the park of the Royal Palace of Laeken in the north of Brussels. It is one of the major tourist attractions of the city.

The complex was commissioned by King Leopold II and designed by Alphonse Balat. Built between 1874 and 1895, the complex was finished with the completion of the so-called "Iron Church", a domed greenhouse that would originally serve as the royal chapel. The total floor surface of this immense complex is 2.5 hectares (270,000 square feet). 800,000 liters (over 200,000 US gallons) of fuel oil are needed each year to heat the buildings.

The complex can only be visited during a two/three-week period in April–May each year, when most flowers are in full bloom.

La première pierre de Média Rives a été posée le 19 juin 2007. Média Rives s’impose comme le signal fort et concret d’une volonté : dans un univers en constante mutation, la RTBF entend avoir un rôle de premier plan sur la scène audiovisuelle. Au coeur de la vie et de la ville, la RTBF comme Média Rives se veut le miroir du monde…

Média Rives s’intègre au coeur de Médiacité. Le bâtiment a été pensé dans le cadre du développement de ce complexe multifonctionnel.

Cette alliance affirme, d’une part, la présence dynamique de la RTBF dans le pôle économique et culturel de la Principauté. Elle renforce, d’autre part, la proximité avec son public

Véritable coeur du bâtiment, le grand studio TV bénéficie d’une superficie de 1.200 m2. C’est, aujourd’hui, le plus grand studio en Communauté française. Et le plus performant. Cette performance, il la doit notamment à sa forme carrée offrant une grande flexibilité de l’espace et à sa technologie de pointe.

C’est, entre autres, ici que l’émission The Voice Belgique est tournée : l’événement musical produit et réalisé par la RTBF dans son grand studio de Média Rives !

The real heart of the building, the large TV studio has an area of ​​1,200 m2. Today it is the largest studio in the French Community. And the most efficient. This performance is due in particular to its square shape offering great flexibility of space and to its advanced technology.

This is, among other things, here that the show The Voice Belgium is filmed: the musical event produced and directed by RTBF in its large Media Rives studio!

The Finance Tower was built in the northeast of central Brussels by architects Hugo Van Kuyck, Marcel Lambrichs, Léon Stynen and Jaspers-Eyers between 1968 and 1983. With its 36 storeys, it is one of Belgium's tallest buildings, reaching a height of 144 m, and including its broadcasting masts, it is the tallest construction in Brussels at 174 m. It was extensively renovated by Maurice Jasper Architects between 2005 and 2008.
