Great place in Cape Town, Dunkley Square called Roxies. My mates will know that I love this place for its charm, chilled, relaxed vibe. Great for a mid week drink and mud pie cake.

So this is Roxy we have worked together before and she is fun and as professional as they come a pleasure to work with.Again this is from the "Chipotle 10" shoot lots of fun!
This is pretty much SOC I did a liittle work in LR bring out the blacks and red,sharpened,and added a vignette.The WB is a trick that the master jedi Mel Haynes Jr. was so gracious to show me.So not too much work...

A short visit of our old time friend Roxy to Amsterdam. I took some shots using flash, card and 1600 ASA (no idea why I did the latter). This was taken at teh door Anne Frank's house.
On November 12, 2012 Roxy Hudson came to live with John, Mhegs and Chopper. Roxy was probably less then 3 months old when she was found on a street corner in San Jose CA, just a tiny scrap of baby frightened Chihuahua weighing in at less than 1.5 pounds. Fortunately she was saved from euthanasia by the wonderful Marthina McClay of Our Pack INC, Pit Bull Rescue ( ourpack.org/ ) who posted her photo on Facebook in an urgent call for a Foster.....the rest is history.
1 year on Roxy is a lively & active big girl who weighs 3 pounds, with a whole lot of love in a tiny body. Thank you Marthina for all your time and effort in placing Roxy with us.
Roxy was a dog 'on display' in a glass showcase. She was just calmly sitting there, on a rug, watching people go by...Apparently Roxy's a very talented dog and has won a lot of doggie high-jumping contests.

The vet came to the house to put Roxy down today. She turned 11 in November. She'd been failing for some time. This is my favorite picture of us at the beach in winter. She was a real working dog even though her job was taking care of us. Always going to the door to see who was there, always greeting us when we came home. Several time she found baby birds and wouldn't stop barking til we went over to them. She helped us nurse one baby Robin til it flew away. And all she ever wanted in return was to be with us. She was so good and we will miss her so much. If I lived in the country I would want a house full of Newfoundlands. Now she's in heaven.

Expect the unusual at the Roxy, "where movies are a religion!" The Roxy features second-run films and double bills at bargain prices. Tuesdays here are a real bargain -- two movies for $2.50. A regular double bill is $5.00.

"I'll give you some specific info on the history of what was founded as the Fox, became the Quadra and is not the Roxy Cinegog in Victoria.
"Founded in 1949 by Walkey (the druggist who owned the land) and Nixon (the projectionist who ran the cinema) as the Fox with 424 seats.
"Bought by Barney Simmons, who was Nat Taylor's nephew and Arthur Hiller's cousin, in 1966. He changed the name because he played porno there while it was still the Fox. He needed a name change when he got away from porno and chose the Quadra. ...
" I bought the theatre in 1986 and made a mistake. I called it the Roxy Cinegog. I should have reverted to its original name and called it the Fox Cinegog. I redid the seating and it is now around 324."
