Picture from an outdoor shoot with the lovely Roxy Rain
Used both the on-camera (pop-up) flash and my SB700 Speedlite off camera (in this case placed on the ground on micro tripod to right of camera) using the pop-up in commander mode.

Here's an example of a radio with a bold sense of style without the use of reverse paint.
I have another one under the brand name "Roxy" ...this one doesn't actually say Roxy anywhere on the cabinet but it is the exact same radio. (see the Roxy model UR-105 below)
A model TR-170 variant can also be found. Not sure what technical or cosmetic specs vary with that model.
The tuning dial is set deeply into the cabinet. It may not be apparent from the picture but it is practically cone-shaped.
The rest of the radio seems well built. The cabinet is made from a thick plastic and the radio has some weight to it. This one works loud and clear!
Made by Usui Denki, most likely dates to 1959 or 1960.
Also found under the Lefco and Afco brand names.
Advertisements for this radio show a retail price of $39.95 - not including the leather case or earphones.
She's so cuddly. I like this one because she looks like she's smirking.

On the front steps by our house retrieving a delivery of some sort. She'll climb the two steps easily enough but she has to be coaxed down.

the black marks on Roxy's face are from makeup on Tuesday night, when she went with Abby and Elsie to watch Elsie doing her aerial trapeze Christmas show with her group. Elsie had to make up as a reindeer and Roxy was not to be left out with the makeup at least, but unfortunately it takes some removing . . . and some is still left!
no longer a dog, flickr now has her as an animal . . . which I suppose has some truth in it!

We picked up Roxy from school yesterday and took her back to Ben's. Before school, Roxy has sent me an urgent note - Grangran can you bring your crochet stuff cause I have sort of learnt to crochet. So, I replied. Yes. Looking forward to seeing you later, sweetheart. And the reply: But can you bring the crochet stuff. So you get the picture. I took the crochet and she crocheted. And I forgot to take an ipad photo. I am no longer attached to a camera. Today I had the report back from visit to the eye clinic a couple of weeks back and among other pronouncements I have poor visual acuity.

maybe when you're two you need a grubby face to prove you're having fun! Interestingly Roxy plays in a similar way to Elsie - she invents scenarios for her toys (today her doggy and Elsie's tiger) and makes them do everyday things like go to bed. But with Elsie I would have been either someone helping put the toys to bed or I would have been on the level of a toy and would have been put to bed myself. With Roxy I am enlisted as . . . I was going to say storyteller, but that's not right, I am more of a reinforcer - she will tell me what is happening and | acknowledge it . . .something along those lines. She doesn't need me to be a part of her play, but she likes me there as a witness who is paying attention to what is going on.
