Students practice their routines under the King Rama 8 Bridge.

Bangkok,Thailand.

I went out to shoot today. Yes it's a bit cold, yes I have plenty of work to do for my MA.

I got out to shoot for shootings sake, without constantly having my final project on my mind. I have attempted to shoot on my way to and from 'somewhere' in the last few weeks with a few descent pictures but until you go out with nothing but the intention of shooting you won't get much, at least that's my experience.

Well, I think I've got some fairly good stuff from today that I'll be posting periodically.

This is from an old part of Dalian, which has received some attention thanks to a project by Boris Austin.

Get out and shoot!

A guard walks around Amalienborg square, in front of Christian VII’s Palace (also known as Moltke's Palace) and Christian IX’s Palace (also known as Schack’s Palace). The Frederiks Kirke can be seen in the background. The Royal Life Guards (Den Kongelige Livgarde) guarding the Amalienborg is an infantry regiment of the Danish Army, founded in 1658 by King Frederik III. Their full dress uniform consists of a scarlet or blue tunic, blue trousers, a bearskin, and the symbolic infantry sabre.

“A very slight change in our habits is sufficient to destroy our sense of our daily reality, and the reality of the world about us; the moment we pass out of our habits we lose all sense of permanency and routine.”...George Moore

It's days like these that my Project 365 seems extraordinary difficult. On top of my work, going to the gym, and other errands, I was feeling so uninspired that the best picture I could scrounge up for today was of a street light.

We frequent a pub a few blocks from our house called Fox and Goose, where we usually play some kind of card or board game. This one was a memory game John taught us.

I absolutely loved the Olympics!! Now I have to get back to my normal routine! :(

Not much has happened over the past week or so. Toby has been diligently doing his schoolwork...

...while Happy has been doing what little monkeys do best: relaxing.
