I haven't been out for photos since my hip replacement surgery early this month, but I wanted to stop by to wish a warm holiday season to all, and a very Merry Christmas to those who are celebrating this week. This shot was taken a couple of years ago in the historic village of Long Grove, Illinois.
I am definitely on the mend following the surgery. I'm walking well without a cane now, and continuing my post operative exercises in a vigorous fashion. I'll likely be off and on Flickr for a while yet during the holiday season, but I'm planning to be back on a more routine basis again soon.
I have a pretty awesome work neighbourhood, so my daily routine takes me past these iconic buildings, the V&A museum to the left and the Science Museum, and Natural History Museum to the right.

I love Brooklyn. Nothing can shake our routine. Not even any disaster or pandemic. Nothing. Nothing can shake our spirit. Despite all the flaws no place is more inspiring than Brooklyn. ♥️ It feels so comfortable here. Feels like home among “my people”. And by my people I don’t mean Russian people I mean people who grew up here. Who are immigrants or have families who moved here or just grew up here. Sometimes I wonder if people who grew up in Brooklyn can actually feel like themselves elsewhere. Is that really possible? Anyways ... I really love Brooklyn & inspiration it brings into people’s lives. More than we will ever realize or know ♥️♥️

A daily routine of me is to charge all the nifty electronic devices, which I think I can't live without, even I survived the first decades of my life without them quite well.

I also took some pictures of tea, the other certainty in my day, but since I'm doing a 366 project, photography has become a big part of each day. It gives me something to focus on even on the days when staying alive feels too much.
not only does the destination remain the same each day, it's also always the same silence our hearts will use to greet people. whether is it the familiar or the nt so familiar, communications cease to exist in this new age where people live in no where more than a world of their own.
Martha's best beauty advice is to find a good night time skin care routine that works for you and stick to it.

This business has long since dried up. At least I got it while I could.

Since retiring it has been wonderful to indulge myself with yoga practice. It is my routine to attend at least twice a week.

Recently, I haven't done a close up like this so I wanted to try it out and while I was at it I decided to connect with the camera and make eye contact. My eyes are actually green.
I have 2 big shoots tomorrow, including my Hansel and Gretel shot that I've been planning. I'll also have someone filming behind the scenes with me!
Macro Mondays Theme: (Part of) My Daily Routine
Part of my daily routine is reading books before bed. Before children I used to read a lot but this went by the wayside after having them as I was just too tired, especially the twins! As the children got older it took me longer to get to sleep. However my husband would be out like a light when his head hit the pillow and then start snoring. There was I struggling to sleep with the noise!! It took me a while to realise that if I started to read right before bed again that I would be more relaxed and ready for sleep. So now this is my daily routine so that I manage to get to sleep before him so the snoring doesn't bother me!! My other routine captured in the photo is in the background. I'm a stay at home mum so I wanted to keep my mind active with free brain games on Lumosity. What I like is there are only 3 a day to play so it doesn't take long, but it's definitely benefited my memory and attention.
Looking forward to seeing and reading about your daily routines. HMM to one and all and appreciate all your comments and favourites.
I found Flickr friends are very talented, hard working and friendly. We all have busy daily routine, whether at work, school or with family. With the little spare time left, we need to take photo shots, selecting photos, processing, writing thoughts, and visiting other talented contacts photostreams. We all thrive to take our creativity to the next level, and bring out a much better work on the very next photo. The passion of being a great photographer and to share beautiful work with others, is truly amazing and admirable.
Busy bees, aren’t we???
Happy pink Tuesday.!!!
