For Macro Mondays - My Daily Routine. The newspaper arrives on our driveway each morning between 4-4:30am and part of my routine is to retrieve it while the coffee brews so I can have a glance at it before getting the day underway. This morning it didn't arrive til 7:45 so my daily routine was disrupted! The paper comes wrapped in a plastic wrapper which, at times can be hard to get off.
Happy Macro Monday!!
Thank you everyone who has taken the time to view, fave or comment on my photo. It is very much appreciated.

week 24 - me and kids
~when i was pregnant, people would (while looking at my boys) ask if I knew what I was having . . . After I replied, they would say, "oh a girl, you are going to love it, you get to go shopping with her...do her hair . . . " I (the mom of two boys who had secretly wished for a 3rd boy) , would sometimes reply, in a not so upbeat tone, "yeah, i have to go shopping with her & and I have to do her hair......" Well, although somedays she doesn't like to comb her hair, she has started to enjoy our morning routine and has started to want to "do it all by myself." Now, I am missing the days when she had to sit on my lap and we would look in the mirror as I *had* to do her hair . .

When I first started my job; as an English language teacher in China, I was surprised when the classrooms had blackboards instead of whiteboards.
Using chalk has certainly become a part of my life that I never expected.

Kosñipata Valley, Southeast Peru
Photographing primates in a tropical rainforest environment is notoriously difficult and frustrating due to the nature of the habitat, the amount of vegetation you’re trying to avoid and, of course, the lack of light penetrating the canopy. And that’s assuming that you’ve found some monkeys in the first place that are at a lower level and remaining in the area, rather than just making their way through the tree tops. I was therefore delighted to find that the first lodge we stayed at on this trip had a local group of Tufted Capuchins that could often be seen in a clearing early in the morning and occasionally late afternoon. I had three very memorable encounters with them that allowed me to capture a good variety of images.
Grooming is a serious affair and an important part of any primate's daily routine, and if you can find a pair fully engrossed in the task as these two were, you’ll usually find that they’ll remain quite still, which obviously helps keep the shutter speed and resultant ISO as low as possible.
Hitting the Portneuf Range foothills, a Westbound manifest gets morning sun on its flanks. Life is plentiful in the valley. Buckskin Mountain peaks out about 50 cars back. Breakfast has been served, teeth brushed, life is good, now let's chase this train!
Three vessels to be seen daily on the River Thames, from Gordon Promenade, Gravesend.
Three Daws is used/owned by Gravesend Rowing Club, a short distance up river at the west end of the Promenade (Gravesend Sailing Club is at the other end...) and was in use on Sunday. I don't know anything about Noah II; it is there, like the mountain, unchanging.
Southwark is a Port Of London patrol vessel, one of 4, all named after districts/places in London: they patrol between Putney Bridge and the North Sea - 60 miles of river, which is quite a lot in technical terms. Southwark and Kew seem to be the most regularly seen at this point.

My daily routine is walking with our dog in the afternoon with a tennis ball. So I took my camera with the macro lens during this walk.
The theme for this weeks Macro Mondays is My Daily Routine.
The very first thing I do when I get up every morning, is take my vitamins. I take them when I get up so as not to forget, therefore this qualifies as a routine.
I take two vitamins, a D3 capsule, and a "mature" multivitamin. Apparently my age is what qualifies me to take the mature vitamin. I guess I am old relatively speaking. I don't feel that old, but I don't feel that young either.
Physically I am doing alright, not requiring any medications daily. And mentally I'm probably average for my age. Although when I read what I just wrote about how I might forget to take my vitamins were it not for this routine I realize that I probably am old.
I am not dead yet. I'm feeling better, I think I'll go for a walk.
HMM.

Last night I had one of the funniest dream ever. I was in the 50s, in my house, and I was watching at a sort of real comedy involving my grandparents. They are usually hilarious people and watching them in their youth was better than any situation comedy! I couldn't be seen and I totally enjoyed that Italian 50s atmosphere. So when I woke up I wore my authentic 50s lingerie and shot these. I was too undecided about which one to post...so I posted both :)
