This is my first attempt at using layer masks. I selected the almost white sky, messed about with curves, then inversed the selection to bump up the colours in the wall and roof. I did this using a graphics tablet and pen, also for the first time (that's going to take some getting used to!!).
I couldn't figure out how to remove the aerials as every time I tried, either using the clone stamp or healing brush, the original white sky showed through.
To access the web I use a laptop, but to work on images I use a desktop computer. This image looks darker and less colourful on my laptop.

This scaffolding was up so the gutters could be replaced, so I took this opportunity to get up there and take some shots. I had taken some experimental shots with the flashlight the night previous, but then I saw this shot by Peter de Krom and was inspired, so I had to get up for a second take. Inspiration fom froodmat as well.

Providence, RI - May 2010
I haven't gone shooting in the last week or two but I finally managed to get some shots during a party at a marvelous rooftop on a downtown Providence building.
I decided to go the cinematic route this time, I found a nice tutorial here.
