♥
I made this outfit for my lil'girl, and will hopefully add it to my shop too. I wanted to create something delicate and romantic (this is the new look I'm working towards for my shop). I just love the music notation lace overlay on the skirt.
What do you think, does this look 'romantic' enough?

Other News:
I got onto my course - Yippieeeeee!!
I went for my inteview on Wednesday, and the course leader said that he thought my application was impressive, but my age was a slight concern (you have to be at least 21 to train as a counsellor, but they prefer students to be 25 - more life experience - I'm 23). At the end of the interview though, he said he was convinced that I was ready for the course, and that I should be getting a letter in the post saying that I have been accepted next week. I'm so happy, I've been feeling there was a missing piece to the puzzle of my life for some time, I feel I've tried loads of different options, but they've all been the wrong shape. This seems to be the right shape. It fits :)
On a less positive note, I've fallen out with a good friend lately as she was rather rude to myself and my husband a few weeks ago and I confronted her on it. I hope we can sort it out soon :(
Thank you so much for looking, I hope you've all had a wonderful weekend :) xxx
Captured these two in deep conversation, sharing a bottle of something - paying more attention to each other than the stunning scenery - they must have a romance!
Spring has just began as new leaves turned up too..to look forward for new romance in spring..
At Port de Plaisance de Paris-Arsenal.
Have a great Monday everyone!

Love is wonderful the second time around:
This bouquet has a real love story: At age 50plus, Mark & Eileen fell in love and decided to have a romantic wedding-since they both come from large families,(Mark is one of 11, Eileen is one of 9) everyone pitched in to help. The church was decorated, the priest an old family friend, musicians were friends and family, the attendants were children and grandchildren, the reception was (needless to say), a huge party, and the flowers came from another brother (who just happens to own a flowershop). This is part of Eileen's bouquet.
....we were delighted to welcome her into our family: My Jerry is Mark's oldest brother.
I'm actually surprised I didn't end up with any pictures of people making out. Santorini is apparently the island of romance (I was warned about this) and everyone seemed to be either boyfriend/girlfriend, married, or in the process of getting married.
According to the hostel guy (who was incredibly nice, by the way), lots of Asians fly all the way over to Fira to get married, which struck me as rather random.
These little streets were cool architecturally, but overwhelmingly touristy. On the other hand, since everyone is actually happy here, all of the people running the shops were in good spirits and very friendly (though sometimes in an aggressive way). It's like they're careful not to ruin someone's honeymoon. Also, everyone spoke English. And sometimes, a few words in Japanese. I was surprised by how everyone was able to correctly identify me as Japanese and not Chinese or Korean like everywhere else in the world.
This particular daffodil amuses me to no end. He stretched over the pot for a little romance with the pretty pink flower in the neighbor pot, but when I took the picture he obviously got embarassed because a few hours later he was back in his pot again with the other daffodils.

Annual Belle Isle Fundraiser Nets $140,000 for Future Island Improvement ProjectsPolish the Jewel Celebrates 10 Years of Passion and Radiance of Detroit’s Island Gem
DETROIT (Oct. 7, 2014) - In mid-September, more than 400 of metro Detroit’s most prominent civic and business leaders spent the afternoon embracing the memories and promise of Detroit’s gleaming island gem at Romancing the Isle, the 10th Anniversary Polish the Jewel Belle Isle Legacy Luncheon. Held at the Belle Isle Casino, the annual Polish the Jewel fundraiser offers an afternoon of networking in support of the Belle Isle Conservancy. This year’s event raised more than $140,000.
“Polish the Jewel punctuates what makes Belle Isle so special, the supporters and volunteers who are so dedicated to the island and all it has to offer,” said Michele Hodges, president of the Belle Isle Conservancy. “So much has happened over the last 10 years of Polish the Jewel events that has breathed new life into the island, and I look forward to seeing the exceptional opportunity that will be uncovered over the next 10 years.”
Commemorating the 10th anniversary event, Hodges recognized Belle Isle Conservancy chair and Polish the Jewel event founder Sarah Earley for her extraordinary dedication to the revitalization of Belle Isle Park.
“Sarah was the primary force behind the very first luncheon a decade ago,” Hodges said. “Not only has she been instrumental in developing the luncheon as a tradition we look forward to each year, but she has also been one of Belle Isle’s greatest supporters throughout its transformation.”
Over the past nine years, Polish the Jewel has raised more than $2.5 million to successfully fund two major construction projects on Belle Isle Park - enhancements to the island’s famed Sunset Point, as well as a historically accurate restoration of the horse stable roof. Proceeds from the 2014 Polish the Jewel will support further improvement projects, in partnership with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, to ensure the island sparkles for years to come.
Rounding out the afternoon’s activities was a silent auction that raised $19,000 from an assortment of artwork, jewelry, fine wines and more, donated by businesses and retailers across metro Detroit.
Sponsors for the 2014 event included DTE Energy, MASCO Foundation, Sarah and Tony Earley, Franco Public Relations Group, Baker Tilly, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Ford Motor Company Fund, Ruth Roby Glancy, Lear Corporation and St. John Providence Hospital.
At House of Blues in Dallas on 5/21/11.

Ok, took a bunch of these, and I'm actually uploading 3 of them cause I just could not choose one, so I'm sharing a few, the whole thing looked like a lot of romance to me, keeping in mind of course it's Eily and Ren and how much more about actions they are than just being subtle of more passive about their feelings.
Romance Sonâmbulo de Garcia Lorca
Verde que te quero verde.
Verde vento. Verdes ramos.
O navio sobre o mar,
o cavalo na montanha.
Com sombra pela cintura,
ela sonha na varanda,
verde carne, trança verde,
e olhos de fria prata.
Verde que te quero verde.
À luz da lua cigana,
as coisas estão na fitando
sem ela poder fitá las.
*
Verde que te quero verde.
Grandes estrelas de escarcha
seguem o peixe de sombra
que anuncia a madrugada.
A figueira esfrega o vento
com a lixa dos seus ramos,
e o monte, gato matreiro,
eriça piteiras bravas.
Mas quem virá? E por onde?
Ela segue na varanda,
verde carne, trança verde,
a sonhar ondas amargas.
