We encountered mass rolling rivers of water, early in the trek!

taken from our "then house" in Farr near Bettyhill, woke up one morning to find the mist (the locals call it the Haar) rolling down the next valley, and the top of Hope dusted with snow.. a wonderful sight.

Worked on this at Clayton Fine Art Gallery today and finished at home studio. It's called Rolling Thunder and is a 16 x 20 watercolor.

This is a shot on my trip from Fresno to Carmel. I tried to get a picture of these cows in a pasture but they all ran away when they saw me coming. I took this instead.

This is a photograph from the 5th "Mullingar 10" - a 10 mile road race and fun run which was held in Dalystown, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, Ireland on Sunday July 27th 2019 at 11:00. Dalystown is a rural parish situated about 6 miles south of Mullingar. The race was organised by the Mullingar Harriers Athletics Club who promote the event. There was over 350 participants in the event. A t-shirt and medal were awarded to all participants and finishers.

The race follows a simple 'figure of 8' route. The race starts from Dalystown National School and heads north briefly to Dalystown cross-roads where there is a left turn which brings runners along the L1122 road. The only real cross-over of the route is at the 2.5 and 7.5 mile mark. The race completes a loop between 2.5 and the 7.5 mile mark which brings runners into the locality of Ballinagore. The final 2.5 miles of the race brings runners back through Cloneheigue and the final 1.5 miles of the race is along straight road heading north back to Dalystown and the finish outside of Wallace's Pub. The race start/finish/HQ are accessible from the Mullingar-Tullamore road (the N52).

The course was a mixture of long straight level sections of road with some short rolling hills which makes for a challenging but overall fair course. The race took place is rather warm temperatures for distance running with little or no breeze/wind. A temperature of around 19C was recorded at the start of the race. However some beautiful mature hedgerows along the mostly rural roads provided shade and shelter from the sun for runners. Three water stations were provided on the route to help keep participants hydrated.

Timing and event management was again provided by Irish company MyRunResults. All of the results from today's race and associated media are available on their website.

This was the fifth year of the event and going on today's event it will continue to establish itself as an annual fixture on the calendar. Clubs from all over the North Leinster region and beyond were represented today. Refreshments were provided outside Wallace's Pub at the Finish line. Well done to Mullingar Harriers and all the many volunteers who helped make today's race a wonderful success. There is a very significant amount of volunteer organisation and work required to make a distance race like this a success.

I turned a Maple scrap to make this tiny simple rolling pin on my new lathe for my youngest. It turned out that it's a bit too small for her hands, but she still loves it.

'Rolling Stones' is part of the Rock Sessions ✪ series that presents graphically (and as kind of a joke) the bands that I love, in and outside Brasil. 2010

(L-R) Chuck Leavell, Charlie Watts (behind the plexiglass), Mick Jagger and Ronnie Wood. I'll never forget the words uttered by my dear Mom (God rest her soul) when she first took a look at the cover of an album by the Stones that one of my older siblings had brought home. She said, "They look like some stones just rolled over THEM." That was pretty funny, because before she saw what they looked like it looked to me like she was enjoying the music coming from the record player. Back then, people had a hard enough time handling the Beatles, but the Stones looked like the walking, talking downfall of moral values and the social order. Nowadays, they look pretty tame. In fact, let's call a spade a spade, they look pretty old. An interviewer once asked Keith Richards when he thought the Stones would finally retire, and in response Keith talked about how one of his own musical heroes, the legendary blues singer Muddy Waters, kept on performing until just a few months before he passed away. (If you have any doubts about the Stones' blues roots, listen to the Muddy Waters song "I Can't Be Satisfied" back to back with the Stones' breakthrough hit "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction". ) Over their long career, they've made enough money to start their own country, but they keep working, and they pack stadiums wherever they go, which is pretty good for a band that hasn't had a major hit single since "Start Me Up" in 1981. In terms of cultural relevance, some may consider them an anachronism at this point, but whenever they play it's still an event, and yes, they've still got it. As one observer put it, they're just a blues band who ended up having a lot of popular songs. As Keith himself further commented not long ago, "Even Britney Spears' music has some of the blues in it." That doesn't fully explain the Stones' enduring appeal, but it's in the ball park. From another angle, the Stones are a living link to the musical "big bang" in the mid-1960s, when their contemporaries the Beatles changed popular music forever. In my humble opinion, all the major bands for the next 30 years came through the door the Beatles opened, and the Stones never matched them in terms of creativity, which is not to say that the Stones' music wasn't great on its own terms. In terms of longevity, however, as of 2009, the Stones will have lasted 40 years longer than the Beatles. What does this truly signify? I dunno, but there it is. If any of you have your own explanation as to why people still love the Stones, feel free to share it in the comment section here.

300zx Vlsd with hicas 240sx output shafts and stock 240sx axles. it would have been easier to use a hicas 240sx Vlsd, but i couldn't find one at the time. another option would have been to use j30 vlsd and axles.
