And the Eagles covering Tom Waits song 'Ol' 55", Which is actually about a 1955 Buick Roadmaster, but....
I was photographing a lowland paca when this squirrel approached quickly, not realizing I was there. When the squirrel saw me, it suddenly became a sculpture on the rail.
Down from the drain field. The cats hunt for rodents here.
I'm not sure when this was taken...
It looks like it was 2020.
I was at it again this weekend with capturing squirrels but this time, the Grey squirrel. I found it much easier than with the red squirrel because of the size probably. I tried the Chipmunks.... that will take me a lot more time for those extremely fast and tiny squirrel. May be I will give up on that one.

Note the chewed plastic trap , right through so only the sides kill the mouse now.
The mice really like the Hemp seed until the trap suddenly closes.
We had the trap up in the roof near the fibre optic cable and gas heater for a few months where the mice enjoyed the plastic…

Friendly little tree squirrel - didn't care for posing too much so had to be quick and lucky to shoot this at 1/60th...!
This rodent is inspired by the comic book "Mouse Guard"
This was for Inktober2020 day 6.
(I'm not going to upload day 1 'fish' nor day 5 'blade' on Flickr because they were really bad)

The lilac-breasted roller (Coracias caudatus) is an African member of the roller family of birds. It is widely distributed in sub-Saharan Africa and the southern Arabian Peninsula, preferring open woodland and savanna; it is largely absent from treeless places. Usually found alone or in pairs, it perches conspicuously at the tops of trees, poles or other high vantage points from where it can spot insects, lizards, scorpions, snails, small birds and rodents moving about at ground level. Nesting takes place in a natural hole in a tree where a clutch of 2–4 eggs is laid, and incubated by both parents, who are extremely aggressive in defence of their nest, taking on raptors and other birds. During the breeding season the male will rise to great heights, descending in swoops and dives, while uttering harsh, discordant cries.
The sexes are alike in coloration. Juveniles do not have the long tail feathers that adults do.
This species is the national bird of Kenya.
This engaging species and the Ground Squirrels provide for my amusement when the birding gets slow at our bird oasis pond. These rodents know every nook and cranny of the jumbled rock border surrounding the pond, and can navigate through this maze with amazing dexterity and speed. It's their "jungle gym" and safe house! I have to constantly watch and pan them through my viewfinder to quickly capture a still moment like this... they're usually in frantic motion.
