He's not sleeping, he's doing surveillance.
You'll need to walk over him, he's not getting up.
The Doctor's faithful robot companion K-9! Second robot in my "Primitive Robots" recreating the classic robots of science fiction in my own style. Sculpted and finished a simple style, with a light faux stoneware finish.
Handmade robot sculptures combining polymer clay, wire woven into coil springs, varnish and a little heart made by HerArtSheLoves.

- Prior to those more famous experiments in electricity,
Tesla was most fond of steam energy.
This little critter was designed to be a watchdog robot.
Not very interested in her prescribed duties,
she would just meander around the house in loops till she ran out of steam.
Consequently, they called her: LOOPY - Mister Tesla's Terrier

He has that cute, upturned snout,
that's why we call him SNOOTY.
Other than that... he's just a regular guy!
I finally finished another shadow box. I was running into a roadblock with the background paper. I really wanted brick, but I couldn't find any. I think, after asking around and getting answers from some helpful flickr people, that I would need to either print it out myself or buy it online. I hate to pay shipping for, effectively, a piece of paper, so I probably would've been going the 'print it out' route. But I don't have a printer. So that was holding me up too. In the middle of all this, I ran across this green 'incredible hulk' scrapbook paper on sale - so I just used that. It's... actually not bad, in a weird way.
Anyway, it's not the most innovative scene ever, but I kind of like it. I'd worry about using that older tamae in the box, but my room doesn't get any sunlight anyway (sigh) and I may change her out at some point if I want to use the pieces...

Dog shares with Joe and helps him gather more sticks for the stove along with some nice warm moss to sit in.
Joe notices Dog is shivering even though he is close to the stove.
Maybe this could help?

"I was ten, it's been eleven years. She time gated the operating
manual in my robot dog, Sparky here. I'm going after her."
These are a few of the toys on the second shelf of my toy cabinet. "Rover the Robot Dog" (seen here in both the red and the silver versions) is a German-made replica of a fantastic 1950's Japanese Robot Dog. I looked for the Japanese original for years, but even broken and fucked-up versions were selling for hundreds of dollars. The remakes are about as close as I'll ever get to having one. My all-time favorite windup toy. I must have bought about 35-40 of them over two years as gifts for friends -- they were a HUGE hit too.
The Cadillac is a rare Tootsie toy from Chicago. The tin machine gun was brought to me from China by a friend who had hell getting it through customs. Battery-operated, it makes rapid-fire machine gun-like sounds; sparks from a flint inside light up the muzzle.
