This footbridge is across the River Ayr where it runs alongside the Muirkirk to Sorn Road. I only ventured a short way across it, not that I was nervous (obviously), it was just that my lunch hour was coming to an end!

Woodmill Salmon Pool: Taken from the far side of the North bank standing next to the bridge that crosses the point where Monks Brook aka the Swaythling (Old English for misty stream) enters the pool - looking towards the East bank the white railing on the East bank that is visable is over the sluice on that side.
