I took a few shots of these little falls... then a few shots more... when you get a nice scene, you cannot help yourself... just changed the angle..
A few more recent people-watching shots taken while strolling along the promenade and beach at Portobello, Edinburgh's seafront.
This fall is most inaccessible in a very steep sided wooded gorge. It about 3 metres high and only a couple of hundred yards from where the stream enters Hury Reservoir.
There is a higher fall further up the valley under the road bridge (How Gill Bridge) but so far have not been able to access it!!
With a patch of sunlight through the dense woodland.
This waterfall on East Gill upstream of Ash Force is both unnamed and unmarked on the OS 1:25000 map.
East Gill joins with West Gill at the small village of Cotterdale to form Cotterdale Beck.

While there has been a railway spur connecting Wemyss Bay on the edge of the Firth of Clyde since the mid 1860s to the main Glasgow-bound rail line, the station here (rated as one of the most beautiful in all of the British Isles), was built in 1903 by James Miller for the Caledonian Railway, also incorporating a docking and embarkation facility for steamboats which dock right by the station.
Both the covered passageway for pedestrians down to the docks and the railway platforms with their elegant glass and steel canopies have rather beautiful, gentle curves to them. I think you can see why they are popular subjects with Scottish photographers!
Off down there today with my dad, we had gorgeous spring weather - warm, bright light, clear, blue skies, the Clyde sparkling in the sunlight, and the light was perfect for shooting inside the station under that lovely turn of the century steel and glass canopy.

Had an Amazing fotoshooting with the beautiful Lady Petya from Hamburg.
Rather lucky spot from my local supermarket. It looked in rather good condition considering its age and the type of car it is. It was driven by an elderly gentleman. He has owned it since December 2000. Plz comment
A collage of shots from the floods on the River Teify on Sunday 20th & Monday 21st December 2020. Water levels had dropped quite a bit by the Monday but the power of the water had damaged the car park.
To the left, the land is the Isle of Sheppey - the sun is setting over the Thames Estuary and Essex.
I don't usually do local sunsets as when you have seen one, you have seen them all, but this was a better than normal, so this is my ration for the year!
To avoid burning out the highlights, I metered on the area above the sun, and by using RAW, I was able to bring up the light on the shingle, another good reason to use RAW files!
