The Haddeo flows from Winbleball Lake. At present, at it's source, this jet of water IS the river! Nothing else at all is being let through the dam. Luckily there are some lively tributaries just downstream and the river is in good health.

Polistrumentista specializzato nel sax tenore, James Carter si è sempre prodotto in performance potenti ed energetiche. Negli anni novanta Carter attirò l’attenzione di stampa e pubblico per la maestria con cui, così giovane, riusciva a plasmare a suo piacimento qualsiasi stile jazz, passando dallo staccato tipico del sax degli anni ’20 ai fraseggi dixieland, al bop, all’RnB ed al funk pur mantenendo un’identità musicale molto ben delineata.
Al Blue Note verrà con il suo gruppo più recente, l’Organ Trio completato da altri musicisti della scena di Detroit: Carter si ricollega alle sue vere radici; quelle che affondano nel jazz muscolare degli anni ’60, dei piccoli combo con organo Hammond B3 e sassofono rovente, di cui furono maestri Gene Ammons e Stanley Turrentine.
