I do tend to photograph Ramsey's 19th century swing bridge quite a lot, but it is a lovely old thing, still performing a valuable service every day. I really like its big old iron rivets

TransPennine Express Class 802 No. 802214 approaches Todmorden working 9M15, the 15:02 Newcastle – Liverpool Lime Street service on 25 September 2025.

If i'd had a tripod and took a 5 second exposure, that pic would would have been identical to this. Actually I lie: Sky's eyes would have moved from the bottom of their sockets to the top, but the rest would have been the same.

I"m as riveted to Sky — who is Rob's Vet Barbara's rescued dog —as he his to the ball i'm slowly moving behind my head until I can click.

Gomez loves to watch movies. Literally!! He doesn’t just casually look up at the screen. He actually shows genuine interest in what’s going on, and will watch for a very long time. He seems to like horror and sci-fi the best. Drama doesn’t do anything for him :D

I pumped up the colour a bit

Pass over this bridge on Moorside rd Swinton daily, love the rust trails

Part of my photography practice is taking scenes and objects out of context and abstracting them through camera movement and/or in-camera multiple exposure. I found some twisted culvert pipe the other day and decided to play.

Macro Monday - Keyhole

Taken at All Saints Church, Barling Magna, Essex

(Top to bottom measures 5.3cm)

The church is built of Kentish ragstone and is a fine example of Norman Church architecture.

This keyhole is located at the 'South Door' entrance believed to be from about the 12th Century and is now housed within a gabled South Porch added in the 19th Century !!

Some colourful artwork adorns an alley in East Van.

I hope you find this image of the Melbourne skyline, taken on Sandridge bridge as riveting as I did. I know, stick to my day job, leave the comedy to the pros. Have a great day Melbourne. Cheers Rob

BB has spotted something fascinating outside the window. Am amazed at how much she’s grown in the 4 months she’s been with us. From a tiny kitten to an “adolescent” kitty.
