.... seen at the "21st annual Vancouver Wooden Boat Festival" on Granville Island, Vancouver B.C.

 

I love Granville Island!!! this small island used to be purely an industrial place located in the heart of Vancouver. today it still houses a Cement Factory and the famous Granville Island Beer Brewery, but all other industrial buildings have been converted into: the most awesome fresh food Market - the famous Emily Carr school of Art (which i used to attend), numerous art&crafts stores, artist studios and restaurants. it is a busy and colorful place under the Granville Bridge and can be accessed by car or small shuttle boats.
