The Norwegian sail training ship Sørlandet, built by Høivolds Mek. Verksted (Kristiansand) in 1927. My restoration and colorization of an image in the M/S Maritime Museum of Denmark archive. The museum does not give a date, but I think the photo by an unknown photographer was shot in the 1930s.
"Sørlandet is a Norwegian heritage tall ship and one of very few full-rigged ships in the world. She is the senior of the existing Norwegian built square riggers, and for more than 50 years she held a central position in the education and training of young people. She is the second oldest of three Norwegian tall ships, the “Great Trio of Norway”, which besides her includes Statsraad Lehmkuhl and Christian Radich.

Some luscious colour from the coast - Converting from my working colour space (AdobeRGB) to JPEG's sRGB does lose some power in that colour
A second wider shot here than the last which nonetheless still illustrates the variety of ships that make use of the port at Santa Cruz de Tenerife - with a greater emphasis on the huge sailing vessel Kruzenshtern.
Kruzenshtern is the second largest sailing ship in the world behind another Russian ship, Sedov. Originally called Padua, she was built in Germany in the 1920’s as one of five clipper ships for the 'Flying P Line' which traded in the Atlantic, Indian Ocean and Pacific. Padua was surrendered to the USSR in 1946 and renamed Kruzenshtern after the famous Russian hydrographer and navigator. She is easy to recognise with distinctive black and white sides, common on ships that traded with the East, where the design imitated gunports to scare away pirates.
In the distance are the Siem Day and Floatel Reliance vessels seen more clearly in the previous post at this location.

Oil is a precious commodity on Desiac and the Penguin monarchy has developed equipment to harvest oil in the frozen fjords of Falien, or continent F. The oil rigs are suspended over oil-rich waters by four giant suspension legs. oil is extracted through the main column and is stored in giant collection vats on the second level. Helicopters and other aircraft dock at the landing platforms for refueling and transporting the oil to the battlefront. Oil spills also have uses as the easily kill native aquatic wildlife to be harvested as food for the penguin armies.

There are three servos that move the camera, A 360 degree "Pan" that rotates at approximately 30 degree steps. Another "Tilts" the camera down at set positions and returns it to horizontal. The third servo uses a finger to trip the camera shutter. All controlled by a peanut sized micro processor brain.

My buddy Tyler and I went out and shot a few pictures of his 1975 Lincoln. This car is a BEAST to drive it. It's so long I couldn't help but laugh the whole time I was riding in it! This was the rig shot we came up with. Second time through was less stressful as far as the setup! I tried doing a bit of an old film looking edit as this car is a 75 and just seemed like this suited the edit. View this one large to see it best. I find small doesn't work well with this one!
