I used the tip, "get even closer" for this picture. i love how focused the camera is on her eye and how clear it is. the fierceness of her eyes makes the picture dramatic.
An amazing site covered in rock cut tombs spanning many hundreds of years. There was so much digging that many tombs ended up intersecting.
Artist Jenny Riddle was drawn to the Mornington Peninsula by the potential for spiritual renewal and creative inspiration; a powerful combination that she found hard to ignore. That move, and her career as an artist, had been on her mind for some time, but were acted on after life-altering events that caused her to look closely at her life.

WHY?
This was taken over the summer of 2010. We never got to ride it, seemed a non existent thunderstorm prevented the riders to have one last go.. I snapped this as we were turned away. Clearly with almost no clouds in sight.
I chose this aperture photo because of the way the light was hitting the flowers as well as because of how in focus the flowers were compared to the fully blurred background.
