For Sliders Sunday today, I thought I would have another go at the wobblies I took of the West window at St John’s College chapel in Cambridge. You’ve already seen one of these which rather amusingly made it into Explore the other day.
I’m posting two versions :
Strained Glass is the ‘proper’ edit, over-sharpened as usual to capture the textures created by the movement. On a good day you can see some saints lurking in the picture amidst the wobbles.
Riddled Glass is based on this for Sliders Sunday.
When I was messing about with the last image I noticed that inverting it was … interesting. So I thought this time I would mess about a bit with layers and blend modes (and reflections and everything else in the usual toybox). The trouble I found was that the image was quickly reduced to a blobby mess. Now I have long felt that the boundary between blobby messes and fine abstract modern art is a delicate one, but I clearly wasn’t in an art mood this weekend.
So plan B. Riddled Glass is quite a simple edit using a Box Blur adjustment. Both versions are made just using Affinity Photo (in this case for the iPaddle), and last time I checked the software offers a larger range of blur tools than Photoshop. Box blur is one of these.
Box blur creates the blocky look (there is a circular option too, a bit like bokeh) and it only remained to add a 3D effect. This was done using the lighting filter (also available in Photoshop) with a single white spotlight top left and then adding some texture in the filter options (using the underlying image as a source) to give an embossed look.

Everything is fully painted by me. The sword is brickforge. Head is based on a Chima one. I really like how he turned out.
Riddler-
Took my Ledger Joker torso, added a coat, called it a day. Head is TFA, with modifications. His RiddleStick is a Lego part that was chopped and glued to a glove top, then attached to a stick.
And that’s it!

The three bachelor Riddle brothers began cattle ranching in the early 1900's in the Steens Mountain area in south east Oregon. They gained control of the water in the area which effectively gave them control of a wide swath of land. Even so, they lived in fairly primitive conditions for more than 50 years. Their remaining ranch buildings are maintained by the Bureau of Land Management for historical purposes and are open to the public. This is the kitchen belonging to one of the brothers.
This was another fairly quick figure. I'm pretty happy with the way he came out! And I'm sorry if the editing isn't as good as My last picture, I was kinda rushing it. :/
Okay first off, the cane was made out of a BrickForge shepherd's crook that I modified and the end of the cane has a Lego katana handle glued on the end. The watch was made from a BrickForge vambrace piece with the end of a stud glued on. The face/body/arms/legs are all 100% painted by me. The vest and coat sleeves were sculpted using a self-hardening clay called Miliput. That's about it, thanks for looking! :)

75069 was one of the final batch allocated to the BR Southern Region which were built with a larger tender. This gives greater coal and water capacity, but restricting the weight and route restrictions to that of the Standard Class 5.
75069 was built in 1955 at BR’s Swindon works and entered traffic at Dover. It was fitted with a double chimney at Eastleigh in 1960, returning to traffic at Stewart's Lane.[1] After just 11 years in service around London and the South Coast, the locomotive was withdrawn from service at Eastleigh in September 1966

Riddled with program descrepancies and circuiting errors, the Goof Bot has almost no good qualities. It cannot even handle the simplest tasks. Usually only brought out and powered up when in need of a good laugh. It stumbles and stutters and mutters giberish.
Another retro-ish bot while I have all the grey out, and yes the eyes are tied down with string.

Inspired by the recent trailer that I’m sure everyone has seen by now, I wanted to make a version of the Riddler when he was just starting out and getting his foot in the door of villainy.
In my mind’s eye, he’s dressed in a simple dark green rain coat, and went into his work without the idea for a name or anything.
The media coined the term the Riddler.
He took it and ran.
One of the urban legend is that the principle was a cannibal. The story has it that when a kid would act up then they were sent to the principles office. Depends on the punishment the kids were killed and hung up in the closet. The other urban legend is surrounding the janitor that mass murdered the kids and teachers. The entire place is riddled with graffiti...Needless to say it is claimed to be haunted. Ghost hunters have visited and claim to have had many paranormal readings.
Stay tuned for the real story.
In one part, the little Hob had to wonder if the denizens of the Dream knew how difficult cleaning was. When, say, on one morning, a room would be gone and all the furniture would be missing. And on another it would all reappear in it's own new conglomeration, maybe half the wooden floor made of marble now or the archways suddenly re-filled with cobwebs.
In another part, of course, he knew the answer. And it was only that they didn't care about things that were hard.
Yesterday we found this awesome bike covered in vines, but due to location and height it would be tricky to get a good Astro shot. So I've created my vision and here it is :)

A man, let's call him ‘K.’, so this Mr K., a hard-working insurance employee, came to the conclusion one day that he deserved holidays. Without further ado, he travelled from the east to the west to a large city. He was already looking forward to the many impressions and experiences in places he had already read a lot about, but now wanted to see them in person. When K. left the hotel in the morning, he had unfortunately neglected to take note of the weather forecast. Despite the summer temperatures, the forecast was for stormy weather. The gusts of wind pushed him against the walls of the buildings, he struggled to stay on his feet and had to push his hat deep into his forehead. In a large square, the wind blew his hat off his head, he was hit by a falling roof tile in the same place and fell to the ground unconscious. Friendly passers-by rushed to pick him up and took him to a nearby railway station pub, where he gradually regained consciousness and strength. He was quite surprised to realise that the blow to the head had not only temporarily taken away his consciousness, but also his memory. Looking out of the window of the pub, K. asked himself four questions:
1. Who on heaven's earth am I?
2. What city am I in?
3. What is the name of the dosshouse I've been taken to?
4. And where is my bloody hat?

Ein Mann, nennen wir ihn "K.", also dieser Herr K., ein fleißiger Versicherungsangestellter, kam eines Tages zu dem Schluss, er habe sich einen Urlaub verdient. Kurz entschlossen reiste er vom Osten nach dem Westen in eine große Stadt. Er freute sich schon auf die vielen Eindrücke und Erlebnisse an Orten, über die er schon viel gelesen hatte, sie aber jetzt persönlich in Augenschein nehmen wollte. Als K. am Morgen das Hotel verließ hatte er leider versäumt die Wettervorhersage zur Kenntnis zu nehmen. Trotz sommerlicher Temperaturen war ein stürmisches Wetter angekündigt. Die Windböen drückten ihn gegen die Häuserwände, er hatte Mühe auf den Beinen zu bleiben und musste seinen Hut tief in die Stirn drücken. An einem großen Platz wehte ihm der Wind den Hut vom Kopfe, er wurde von einem herabfallenden Dachziegel an eben selbiger Stelle getroffen und fiel bewusstlos zu Boden. Herbeigeeilte freundliche Passanten hoben ihn auf und brachten ihn in ein nahegelegenes Bahnhofslokal, wo er allmählich wieder zu Bewusstsein und Kräften kam. Nicht schlecht erstaunt musste er feststellen, dass der Schlag auf den Kopf ihm nicht nur vorübergehend das Bewusstsein, sondern auch das Gedächtnis genommen hatte. Sinnend aus dem Fenster des Lokals blickend stellte K. sich vier Fragen:
1. Wer um Gotteswillen bin ich?
2. In welcher Stadt bin ich?
3. Wie heißt die Kaschemme, in die ich gebracht worden bin?
4. Und wo ist mein verdammter Hut?

Riddles '4MT' 4-6-0 no.75078 easy climbs the gradient out of Keighley with the 11:45 Oxenhope train.
This is just an idea I had with the torso. I know the staff is to big. I originally was going to use the torso for my TDK Joker but I decided to use it for him. Please give credit if use.
