It was 11 Celsius here today so bees were flying all over the place. I found this one in a container of water on the patio (look at the algae strands on her legs!). She was cold and in a state of torpor. I dried her with absorbent kitchen paper, warmed her up in the kitchen and fed her some honey on my finger (honey from the same hives that she came from - never do this with bought honey, use sugar and water instead).
She perked up within 5 or 10 minutes and took off from my finger directly back to the hive she came from 20m away.
I always love doing this with bees. Best 10 minutes of today.

I visited the Goodwood Revival in West Sussex on Sunday 10/09/2023. The annual 3-day event is a celebration of iconic vehicles and fashion from the 1940s, 50s and 60s, staged at the historic Goodwood Motor Circuit. The Stagecoach 902 service runs from Chichester Railway Station using mainly historic vehicles, this year totalling eight. There were other visiting vintage buses to be seen plus a good few former buses inside the event. A jolly good show!

I nearly lost all of my photos at this event - my memory cards fell out of my bag - luckily I had labelled the individual cards and some lovely person handed them into the Goodwood Office , who returned them to me.

Above Chiangmai, on the slopes of Doi Suthep, below Wat Doi Suthep, an ancient temple, much neglected now being restored, hopefully to its former glory currently evidenced by the beautiful images emerging from the surrounding jungle.
