In an age where the Internet of Things (IoT) meets the manufacturing process, tampering and reverse-engineering become an aspect no one can any longer ignore. At the Automatisierungstreff 2014, Wibu-Systems has offered its technological expertise in product know-how protection. www.wibu.com/en/whitepapers.html

3D Laser scanning survey of a 65' ex US Navy tug on a dry dock in Whitby, North Yorkshire. Carried out as part of a project to reverse engineer the hull and supply a new, larger and more efficient vessel to the yard as an assembly kit, but keeping the classic lines of the 1950's tug.

www.optimumarc.com - Extensive length. Large surface. Bulkiness. These are no longer issues, thanks to the MAXscan. This new laser scanner has been designed for a sole purpose: to bring large parts data acquisition to the MAXimum level of accuracy ever reached with a 2-in-1 device. When dealing with large parts, the MAXscan laser scanner is the most powerful ally in reverse engineering and inspection.

This intensive one-day event intended to promote a discussion about digital technology innovations and economic growth for a better quality of life in Europe via the evolution of the Privacy, Security and Trust (PST) industry.
The priority for research centers, industrial vendors, and lawmakers alike is to work together to build a safe, reliable, and secure industrial internet. Originally isolated networks are now becoming interconnected; the new infrastructure will propel the proliferation of data and expose Big Data to unprecedented risks. Wibu-Systems’ expertise contributes substantially to this transformational process with CodeMeter® (www.wibu.com/codemeter.html), the one-in-all technology for protection, licensing, and security. Safeguarded from piracy, reverse engineering, and tampering attacks, existing and new software applications can be monetized through flexible licensing schemes to support the growth of the global economy in this century.

ift.tt/1UmPT6C The Zeppelin L-49 forced down in Bourbonne-les-Bains, France after a raid on Britain. Twenty-one Germans were taken prisoner. The Allies were so impressed with L-49’s design that they reverse-engineered it to build the U.S. Navy’s USS Shenandoah, constructed after the war [5000 x 3728]. #HistoryPorn #history #retro ift.tt/1UJpEHl via Histolines
