been having fun the past few days doing reverse image searches (using google, tineye) on my getty images that are available for licensing. getty gives you a few details about who bought them, but never anything about where they end up.
here's one of mine i found being used by swedish IT company Elicit.

the large text translates to "Our apps results in satisfied customers and employees are not Angry Birds". i think they did a great job on the advertisement.
however, i've also found several other sites using some of my other licensed images that they just took without asking or paying. it's been fun contacting them as well.
been considering putting watermarks on my images from here on in and more detailed IPTC metadata...

A basic idea for the reverse of the Taskscape business card. This part fo the card will have the information on for the managing director and then will have several cards with blank areas for the various associates to put their details on.
There are available superior, less than moderate and good 50mm objectives. All cannot be considered appropriate tools for reverse objective close-ups. A poor performer isn't a good one even reversed. (There may, however, be exceptions.)
One essential thing to check is the diameter of of the objective's filter thread. Reversing rings aren't available for exotic sizes. 49, 52 and 55mm are quite good choices when selecting tubes from your drawers.
Naturally not only 50mm objectives can be reversed. Some trial and error testing will soon show you your favorites.
One important thing to remember when purchasing objectives: many objectives with good reputation have been made for exotic cameras with exotic mounts. They are cheap! The mount plays no role in reversing.
Have fun with macro photos!
Taken with a 24mm reversed onto extension tubes. Flash is on a hinged hot shoe and leaned out over the end of the lens stack. A DIY snoot fires the light in front of the lens.

Lot of smoke from previous fireworks lighten by new ones (ground is on the top of this picture and sky bottom)
I don't know what this is called but looks pretty cool. If it was me I would have fallen, crashed and knocked my head off :D
Weekend is coming, I can't wait.
Haven't taken any macro shots for some time. Finally got around to it before the season was over. Reversed 24mm on two extension tubes and flash with snoot.
The normal shot, it seems, is to shoot Turret Arch through North Window. Here's the same sight line backwards, with South Window thrown in as a bonus.
(It took two shots to get this. Yes, you can get back far enough to get the whole of Turret in one shot but when you do, the windows are hidden.)

Last full day of the trip: revisiting some of the popular spots in Arches that we hadn't been to in years.
Posting the rest of 2013's photos to make room in the camera for 2014's adventures.
These are from a trip we made during School Break last October & November.

I say reversed only because I've never bothered to shot these falls - which are about 15' tall - from this side. It's always the other side. And I made a series of images from the "other" side yesterday but finally decided to wander over to the west side of the falls and see what's what...
Here's a shot from a previous visit: www.flickr.com/photos/wyoming_1/3514953400/. I think it's very interesting stylistically just how much I've grown to prefer warm earth tones... Quite a stark difference.
Lots of people wandering around the falls yesterday - it seemed like a miracle when there was no one walking though.
