This is how I did those reverse macros. I taped my 50mm onto my 18-55 kit lens. 50mm focused at infinity and aperture opened up all the way. The 18-55 was focused as close as possible (autofocus turned on the camera turned off but left on on the lens to lock it in place). It seems to work pretty well until I get a real Macro lens.

Using a reverse ring on a 50mm and 18-55 lens to capture my first macro shots. Please comment.

The reverse prayer yoga pose is one of my favourite stretches. It really pulls at your shoulders and wrists. Oddly, my right arm gets really strained but not my left, probably due to atrocious computer posture. I'm trying to even out the flexibility of both arms.

I found out at work that googling "reverse prayer" is definitely NSFW. It's apparently a position also used in BDSM.

Reverse psychology can also prey on a person's ego, as when it is used, it can make the target feel incompetent; effectively persuading the person to perform the desired action. When this psychology is used in limit it is going to give best results. But when used invariably its going to be a very bad hit on the potential of the child/individual. Whenever this psychology is used the brain triggers on the questioning of the opponent and forces and believes that it has the individual to work on the act. The main reason is there will be a minor hit on the ego of the individual.

Front pond at Birch Grove Park in Northfield, New Jersey

Early June 2008

Same senior portrait session as the last one, but for this one I climbed up to the five meter tower for an overhead perspective. Problem was, my lights were still down on their stands on the pool deck, which left the top of his body in shadow. Gonna see if I can get the facility to install a boom arm on their ten meter tower for me ;)

Reverse dive pike, one SB-25 about 4 meters directly below me, and one SB-26 off to camera light, also about 4 meters down.

Did a little playing with roses this evening. I did what was called a reverse technique to open the rose up. You just gently fold the petals back in the wrong direction to make a huge bloom. These are gorgeous to do a large number of them and make a bridal bouquet out of them. I guess once a Florist, always a Florist! lol I actually went to my old shop and dug roses out of the garbage to do this with. Older roses work better for this than fresh crisp ones.

It's not often you see an opera singer perform from behind; I thought it looked strangely compelling - especially with the random folk walking by. The fact that I was comfy and couldn't be faffed moving has absolutely nothing to do with it. At all.

Last nights sunset from Apse Heath. This isn't a crop, this is an iPhone technique where you set your camera to Pano (panorama) and move the camera against the way the arrow is pointing, for example to the left instead of the right. The result is a rather elongated portrait that would look good hanging on your wall. Works with the iPhone 5 not sure about other models.
