The Reverse of a postcard of a group of cadets at RAF Hastings on the beach at the end of May 1919. It was sent by my late grandfather Jack Wilson MM 1896-1992. The card was sent to his father Twentyman Wilson and Mother Sarah in Consett, Co. Durham.

been having fun the past few days doing reverse image searches (using google, tineye) on my getty images that are available for licensing. getty gives you a few details about who bought them, but never anything about where they end up.
here's one of mine i found being used by swedish IT company Elicit.

the large text translates to "Our apps results in satisfied customers and employees are not Angry Birds". i think they did a great job on the advertisement.
however, i've also found several other sites using some of my other licensed images that they just took without asking or paying. it's been fun contacting them as well.

It's pretty rare aviation images end up in my Flickr photostream these days but I thought I'd do something a little different with this. Today at Manchester was absolutely freezing with a damp runway, which lead to some interesting effects from water being thrown about by rotating jets and reverse thrust! Ryanair's EI-EMK is shown here kicking up a fuss, you can almost sense the captain... "I WILL make that taxiway"...
So we got a little set back in our spring whether with a drop in the temperature and what should have been rain turned into snow. Other parts of the province got it pretty bad, so we got it pretty good in the city and its pretty much gone today. And this comes up on the coldest month of April in more than a 100 years.
Fortunately the weekend is shaping up to be much better for the weather :))

When I had heard about the word that had been chosen i though of course bizzaro because he is superman but reversed. But as i was making the illustration I thought, wouldn't it be cool if bizzaro fought against lex luthor. Prior to doing this assignment, I had watched Justice Leaugue: Crisis On Two Earths, an animated film, and in this movie there are two earths that you see, Universe A with superman as leader of the justice league and Universe B Lex Luthor is the leader. So after I watched it i decided to have the reversed versions of superman and lex luthor have a fight in an alternate reality.

Reverse Graffiti or Clean Graffiti is a pavement advertising and guerilla marketing technique. An aluminium stencil (as seen on the pavement above) is made and then a dirty surface/path is washed over through the stencil using a steam cleaning pressure washer.
The resultant adverts can last up to 6 months depending upon a number of factors, e.g. how dirty the original surface/path was, how much use the path gets, what the material of the path is (tarmac surfaces are very poor for this) and the weather conditions.
A laser-cut stencil up to 1m x 1m costs around £100, with another £400 for 20 impressions (adverts).
