Reduce. REUSE. Recycle.

Bring the Bag's Create a Bag Monster Event on the Seawall in Galveston, Texas.

Promoting the use of reusable bags in Galveston. We gave away approximately 600 reusable bags and created a Bag Monster from single use plastic bags we obtained from the public on the Seawall and beach.

These two sweet little cherubs were sort of "just sitting there" in another part of the garden. They cried out to be the framing elements of the path to the Coastal Room.

Some people came to see and photograph reuse3, some just found themselves in the middle of it.

I thought this was so funny for some reason.

I had grand plans of making everyone in my family these reusable shopping totes but after this one took me *all day* with two little ones running around underfoot, I settled for just finishing one. It folds up into its own little pocket for storage.

Maybe next year I can give out a couple more...

Ditch the plastic bags and go with an awesome reusable tote! Many cities are starting to pass the plastic bag ban, so pick up one of these to join the movement. And you'll help keep plastic out of those crazy enormous gyres in the ocean!

This is my apartment in Stockholm that I've worked on for a few months. The general idea was two give it the feel of the twenties that it deserved. When I moved there it was a very modern IKEA kind of feel to it. I've used a lot of old materials, doors, a huge old window and some nice old kitchen interior that I've found at different containers and antique bargains.

This was a Christmas present some years ago from a friend. Her mother-in-law makes these from old sweaters and buttons. Today as I was "throwing Christmas out", I had to take a picture of it before putting it away till next year.

Made from thrifted sheets. Fully lined.

Creative Mornings Madrid: Reuse

I hope the stuff has been put through a rock tumbler or else it's going to be a big hazard. They used this to "pave" the trail along the Cerrito Creek at El Cerrito Plaza.

More at Community Forklift

We donated several items for reuse at local building materials warehouse (fridge, tub, stair section, furnace, parts of air conditioner, sink, vanity, etc. We've also purchased a lot of materials from them already (doors, wood flooring, sink, cabinet, lighting, carpet tiles, trim wood, etc).
