Reuse is fun! An old sweater with worn out cuffs, a t-shirt with a nice motif, but now too small, and a trouser with holes and no elastic anymore - turned into a new sweater!

These reusable part boxes have steel reinforced sides to eliminate wood flexing, and link-locks for easy access. Observation ports to expedite customs inspections, allow inspection agents to peek in and verify the parts for combustion turbines inside without opening the container.

The dress I made from a 50p pillowcase, not one bit was thrown away.

The flowers were my daughter's idea, the whole photo shoot was her creative input, yes, at 4 yrs old.

They could quite possibly be the best grocery bag ever!

They are identical to the typical plastic grocery bag that you find in every store...but these are not plastic. They are made from reclaimed vintage fabric making them light weight, but still super sturdy. They are cut on the fold...eliminating any seam on the bottom of the bag. All edges are serged, no raw edges. I now make them with a simple strap/snap closure. This makes them nice and tidy...easy to stuff several in your purse, car, or diaper bag. There handles easily loop over the metal holders at the grocery stores. The vintage prints are snazzy and might even make grocery shopping a little more fun.

This mirror was made from pieces of beveled cedar siding and other scraps of molding.

The front of this totebag is made from quilted and appliqued plastic bags. About five plastic bags went into the making of this plastic bag.

Reduce, reuse, and recycle--i thought this was a cool way to resuse old water bottles. filled with colored water, people can just make different patterns.

Reusable shopping bag to use each time you go to a store. This is so we can use it again and again and not have to use new ones that we simply throw away after we use them.

Reduce:

1. the amount of packaging by buying products in bulk

2. the amount of paper consumption in the office, school, etc. DON'T BE A TREE-KILLER!

Recycle:

1. all aluminum cans and plastic bottles

2. newspapers, magazines, junk mail, and paper

3. all old electronics and clothing at specific facilities and/or donation centers instead of dumping them in the trash

4. yard waste: leaves, branches, grass, etc.

Reuse:

1. buy products that are made from recycleable materials

2. find creative ways to reuse paper and boxes

DW's been using this swim diaper for all the times he's been swimming! It's great, the material is soft and it dries fast! More on this nappy at manilamommy.com

A full sack.

I had a stack of Amy Butler fat quarters and decided to mix and match on this really cool reusable grocery bag.

I didn't want to remove the shank on my vintage button, so I slipped a headpin through the shank, added a few reused beads and did a little wire-wrapping.

I like the large one by the stove, the small goes in a caddy on the table. The smaller was an ice wine bottle - they are great bottles! I want some more ice wine bottles, preferrably clear, for salad dressing/vinegar mixtures. The spouts are cheap at a local kitchen supply shop.

One of the nicest little chapels out there. Amazingly this used to be a power plant.

The Washington Navy Yard is on the National Register as historic district #73002124. It is also a National Historic Landmark.

These matching red wood boxes can easily be identified by the customer. They are upgraded and can be reused many times because of the protective hardware. Boxes like these can house and protect products such as parts for Pressure Impact Testing Equipment like Plastic Pipe Hydrostatics.

Bolas realizadas com um tear manual redondo. A diferença está no enchimento, tiras de sacos plásticos que sobram quando faço carteiras.

O meu filho adorou a dele. Claro! Pode brincar dentro de casa com ela.

On seeing some very well made wind chimes made of stain glass, it occured to me to try making them of another medium which I am more familiar with, bottle caps. The first of course went to Jean as she reserves the right to confiscate the first of any of the work I make. the others however are soon to be up for grabs when I figure how to balance them.

Yes, this is a VW camper van turned into a fountain at a local garden shop... Now here is the really weird thing: this was my daughter's van about 10 years ago. She sold it to a fellow who drove it for years, pulled the engine and sold it to this garden place- where I just happened to see it today. It's not visible from the road so it was just chance that I went in.
