This is a theater lobby card (like a movie poster) for the 1950 movie "Destination Moon."
The movie was the first time Hollywood had filmed a realistic film about space flight. It was produced by George Pal, directed by Irving Pichel, with a screenplay by Rip Van Ronkel, Robert A. Heinlein, and James O'Hanlon. It was based on a story by Robert A. Heinlein.

Sepia-toned antique portrait of a young woman in a delicate lace dress, taken by István Gere, early 1900s.
A saguaro jelly made from prickly pear juice? Why not nopalita pads? It's good stuff, in a martini, in a fruit soda and on ice cream.
" Remember how you felt on that first date ?...All dressed up and looking great....Butterflies in your stomach and a fluttering in your heart ?...... You waited and waited and the clock went tick tock, tick tock and you just knew he wasn`t coming...........And the night went on forever........."

Well, It's another miserable rainy and horribly humid day here so I'm stuck in the house because I just can not breath outside.
Thought I'd post some artsy retro stuff I did with my flowers.

Gents — Are you willing to concede that even in the midst of the COVID-19 global pandemic, even without Bars, Nightclubs, and Spectacular Stage Shows, that life is still much sweeter here on the Fabulous Las Vegas Strip, as opposed to being locked up back home in your own home — just like your very lovely lady?
A Staycation just wasn’t gonna cut it!
So Gents — While you are doing your midnight stroll of the charming and inviting New York-New York Hotel & Casino, think long and hard about what you will say to your very lovely lady when she calls you from home and wants to know if it’s safe to leave the comfort and safety of her home and come with you to Las Vegas again. How will you convince your woman that life is still good here?
Hmmm... 😷🤔
Gents -- Now that you've successfully attended to your lady's needs by arranging for her pool cabaña, what sights are there for you to capture this fine morning on Flickr Camera Safari? The New York-New York Hotel & Casino is a wide and wonderful resort campus and there's still much exploring to be done -- So get to it!
No! And Hell No! It's too early in the morning for you to be sitting down at the Lobby Bar for a Martini or a Cosmo! You have too much camera safari work to accomplish today!
The New York-New York Hotel & Casino was under construction when you and your very lovely lady first visited the Las Vegas Strip in the Summer of 1994. Much has changed here over the span of 24 years -- don't you think... But The NY-NY is still as Fabulous as ever!
I've been studying the art of using fractals to create art, this is my very first piece. It's titled "Firefly". Let me know what you think.
I've been absolutely fascinated by fractals for several years now. Perhaps it's because they're so precisely made, yet they balance beauty and creativity equally with their mathematical roots. I also love how they're in all of nature, demonstrating order to the entire universe and leaving God's fingerprint in everything from the largest to even the tiniest of His creations.
As always, there's more info at my online gallery: www.lorigrimmett.com/2012/06/18/firefly-fractal-art/
Today's vintage style pinup art is another Coca-Cola tribute based on the 1940s style of Haddon Sundblom. This is a bit of a 'what if' had Haddon gone the route of a bit more risque Coca-Cola girl. Haddon was one of the main artists for Coca Cola in the 1940s, creating most of the classic Coca Cola Girl advertisments that are now iconic.
A new Dietz Dolls online store is under construction—prints and posters available to purchase coming later this year! For now, if you are interested in a print or poster, message me!

And do not neglect to pick-up some fine Montecristo cigars for your boss and for your favorite colleagues back home! Can You Dig It!
Another tribute to the Diving Girl.
Going into the Youth Museum Weather show February 2013 she has been recently upRezzed and polished. SBP's gorgeous detailing.

Isn’t it really swell that you have the opportunity to personally guide your long-time Flickr Friend in-and-out of all of your favorite NY-NY dining and drinking haunts! And in addition, you two photojournalists get to venture all around-and-about and reveal all of those nifty 1940s Manhattan Art Deco artifacts and props! 😁
