The Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) credential is a specialized certification for paramedics who provide medical care during air medical transport. Earning your FP-C certification is a challenging but rewarding achievement that demonstrates your advanced knowledge and expertise in flight and critical care transport. It can also increase your job opportunities and earning potential as a flight paramedic.
Here is a brief introduction to how to obtain your FP-C certification.
Eligibility:
To be eligible to sit for the exam, you must hold a current and unrestricted paramedic license.
The IBSC does not list any recommendations on experience; however, most accredited flight agencies require three (3) years of experience as a paramedic.
Note that this is not a requirement for exam eligibility.
