One reason we tend to catch more colds in the winter may be because our noses are cold and our immune system does not work so well at lower temperatures, a new study suggests.

It took Sennheiser 10 days to respond to my contact via their website. They never acknowledged the initial contact. I told them in that contact that i think my headphones could well be under warranty still but couldn't be sure. They ignored all of that and sent the above response. The headphones were *well* over £100.

The collector of oddities

© Peycho Kanev

I am the collector of queerness and terminations,

the ones that, late in the night, fall down from the trees

and try to turn over on their souls again,

unwanted, forsaken and absorbed in stillness.

At some point you might say that I am weird!

But aren’t we all the strangest offspring of our dreams?

Do you need a two-headed, freak-show circus wrestler

walking and growling towards you to believe in it?

“History is written by the victors, but the great art

is made by the vanquished”, one of my teachers said.

And I know that the mistral is just a cold, northerly wind,

but I keep my tin box with the gun inside clean and prepared.

Nuclear Emergency Response

What are nuclear emergencies? A nuclear emergency involves the potential for a nuclear reaction to be self-sustaining and release into the environment [criticality].

International Safety Research Inc.

Nuclear emergency response teams provide experts and specialized equipment to other federal emergency response groups that deal with nuclear emergencies, nuclear accidents, and nuclear terrorism. At the Test Site, teams participate in exercises and drills to sharpen deployment readiness, technical capabilities, and to improve coordination with other response groups. The Test Site has a long history in responding to nuclear emergencies. In 1975, the Nuclear Emergency Search Team (NEST), a multi-agency program, was created to search for, identify, assess, and disable any nuclear weapon or radiological hazard targeted against the United States or its allies.
