I went to a show this past Friday, and it was absolutely fantastic. I wasn't shooting, my love wasn't playing, so we just got to enjoy it. I did take a couple of snaps for the project to remember the day, and this ended up being my favorite. I love that it's blurry, I love the colors, and the light. That's what a show is to me. During one of the sets I ran into the pit, and nothing is more refreshing for me. Jumping around, letting the colors blur and just feeling the pulsing bass and screams from the crowd always resets my mental health. It's like how I imagine church to be for people. I raise my hands, I'm free of all stress, I get to release everything. It's beautiful. As a concert photographer I try to get the sharpness and detail when I can, but as a fan, I chose this photo because it represents what it feels like to BE at a show.
