Following up a special request from my chum Andy Wakefield, will this image suit? Cheetah at her look-out post - isn't she a beauty?
I came to this photo shoot at the request of my mate Chris, who he said, needed a bit of help with this sort of stuff. Now I'm not quite sure what happened, as he buggered off and I never helped him in the slightest all day. He says he had the beginning of a cold and felt like shooting stuff as it came and not pushing the boat out, I say I just made a tit of myself and didn't earn my keep. Anyway...
The point is as the assembled throng of photographers and models all vanished into every corner of this disused house in the middle of Auckland's central business district, I ended up being stood there like a spare part wondering what to do. I knew I'd feel like I'd cheated myself if I didn't try something a bit different and just went for standard quick snaps. So what we have here is the combination of experimenting and a deep lust for a cute blonde girl called Dana who had *the* coolest dress on, I mean she looks a million dollars in that outfit no!??
I took a lot of test shots to get this. A lot. Mainly because of the weather and not wanting Dana to suffer as I got the shot right. I needed (and wanted) her to walk in, do her thing and be out again getting warm asap. (I have a lot of photos of my fellow photographers looking grim in this setup LOL!) I also spent a lot of time waiting for the view behind in the various rooms to become clear, and no small part of it due to one very selfish silly old duffer of a photographer who proved to be a plague on the shoot all day! ;-)
5D and 17-40 @17mm. Cokin ND8 soft grad mounted using WA holder. Bare 580 EX to camera right triggered via custom 10m off-camera cord strung through the glass and debris much to the amusement of the fellow photographers (particularly those with wireless flash triggers!)

As requested by pretty much everyone, here are more photos of my LAAT. For anyone new, it's in perfect minifigure scale, has over 3,000 pieces, and took around four months in total to design and build. Before anyone asks, yes, there are no visible rockets on top. I tried it, but they looked messy on the smooth, vast white panels. They just looked out of place. I beleive by the time ep.3 rolled around, the LAAT's had closed up tops anyway, and mine is already a hybrid between ep.2 & 3 Gunships so it works out in the end :D

While out in St. Peter’s Square with my Tuesdays partner in crime, this young lady stepped out in front of me as I was about to take a photograph. At first I thought she was telling me not to take her picture to which I replied “I’m not, and I haven’t taken any”; she was actually saying “I’ll give you a £1 if you take my picture”. This request completely threw me but I did as she asked, (no money changed hands in case you were wondering). After taking the picture she looked at the image on the back of my camera and said “Let my mother know that I am ok”; then she left just as quickly as she had arrived. This took no more than 30 seconds. As I don’t know this young lady or her mother I decided to post the image and request just in case someone out there does recognise her and her mum and maybe, just maybe they could pass on her message.
Please don’t fave this image as that is not what this post is about.

The build should actually be longer, in order to represent the wreck more accurately. However, I was running low on parts and wanted to finish the build so I cut it a bit short.

The PL 17 replaced the Dyna Z and was presented on June 29, 1959. For model year 1961 a cabriolet was added followed by an estate version in April 1963.
Late 1963 the PL 17 range underwent a minor facelift for the 1964 model year (Note the chrome ornament strip between the head lamps has disappeared, and the indicator lamps were changed).
Responsible for the avant garde design of the PL 17 and his predecessor Dyna Z was Louis Bionier (1898-1973) in cooperation with André Jouan.
In 1965 Citroën became full owner of Panhard. In the same year production of the PL 17 has ceased.
I found this PL 17 Cabrio during a holiday trip to the south of France.
The yellow car in the back was my car at that time. It was a 1982 Ford Escort Van 1300 which I had converted into a compact mobile home.

After taking baby Jinthe's pictures, her mum asked me if I could turn the shoes in that one b&w pregnancy shot pink. It is not what I like (at all) but if someone hires me (twice), I will try. At first, I thought I'd need photoshop for it but Big Human went online and found me a tutorial that showed me how to do it with adjustment brushes in Lightroom.
So, I learned something new, and mum was very happy with the picture.
That's the request from the A&S 101 crew to the CSX IB dispatcher. Shortly after being told to come down and look for their light, I got the bird in position to shoot an A&S crew bringing NS train 121 down from Mitchell towards Gateway Yard. Train is crossing CSX St. Louis Line and the former B&O is straight beneath the camera.

Stop on request
Watching for passengers expecting his train to stop, a WSR agent wearing a tie leans out of 6990 “Witherslack Hall” approaching Doniford Halt, where the stop is on request. The train moves slowly and will not stop if there are no passengers waiting to board it (the crew is informed in advance about potential offboarding passengers).
The 6990 is a GWR modified 4-6-0,built in 1948 at Swindon is owned and operated by GCR, Great Central Railway.
The train is uphill, coming from Minehead. The background landscape is the Bristol Channel coast.

Someone asked me about shoes, noting that its been a while. Without getting whiny, I love the look, but ... ouch! This, by way of a Christmas gift to you-know-who!
I personally requested Stevie's presence at the shoot, I'd seen her in Stephanie's Flickr stream, had one of those "Hit by the Lightning Bolt" moments when I saw her face.
Some faces, man. Some faces I just need to shoot.
Had to wait my turn, though, Stephanie had her in make-up for awhile, then had first dibs. So I shot and shot and shot and waited and waited and waited.
Ended up shooting her on two different occasions, Sunday, which worked out great. This here was just before the end, just before we all got together for the group shot and exited stage left.
Stephanie didn't like the hat, apparently. But me? Reminded me of Spies Like Us, which...actually, I don't love that movie so much, but I have very fond memories of the end, where Dan Akroyd pulls that super hot blonde that he was actually married to in real life.
So there you have it. Spies Like Us = this shot.
I had people requesting Remo photo's~~ I can not forget about my other orange boy!!! This was a prop for Pete, and Remo jumped in and slept in here for the afternoon !!!!
A young girl asks for money from passing cars on the streets of Mumbai. People seemed to be fairly generally generous towards her so she was faring quite well in this spot. She couldn't have been more than 10 or 11 years old but curiously was carrying a small baby - which was generating a lot of attention from the passers by. After this shot, I indicated to her to come across as I had a few rupees. She looked up, started to cross the road but, then suddenly turned and ran at full speed. The police had spotted her and had moved towards her but, even with the weight of the baby, she was far too aware and quick for them.
