Thanks to a broken pushrod, I needed to either rebuild my engine or buy and install a new one. The cheaper option seemed to be the latter. So, we are in process of doing an engine replacement. A local chap with tons of knowledge is helping, and my son is even getting into the act.

I am cheered up each time I pass this section of a terrace of houses on Glasgow's Sauchiehall Street. At some stage in the past, the railings of the house on the right were replaced. Whoever did the work was probably a plumber because pipes have been used, so essentially we have a very large central heating radiator. Wonderfully eccentric!
First time ever taking part a VW. My friend was having problems with his radiator so he ordered him self a brand new one. We had like 8 tools to work with and a laptop showing pictures of hat we had to do. Basically we were on our own, but we got the job done correctly and it worked like a charm. She is driving like new again.
