I was struck when uploading this photo how much its shapes echo those in my shot from two days ago. Oh, how I repeat myself! Ways of seeing, ways of thinking...the little stories that run in my head, those familiar routes of wandering and wondering...
It's OK, it's all OK. Sometimes even beautiful in the way it all repeats.

the strangest things happen when I take my camera outside with me to do yard work. Upside down tomato cage on the patio. I love to play with dof and this was a golden opportunity.
Leading Lines and Repeating Patterns
For this project I learned a lot about leading lines and repeating patterns. To begin, I learned to look at objects we see every day and take for granted and find images in them. Specifically, we had to look for leading lines which are lines that takes the viewer through the image. For a repeating pattern, we had to find many objects that are identical to each other and goes on repeatedly. Once again with this project I learned to use Photoshop even more, in particular, levels and curves. For me, due to the fact that I was not here the day the project was assigned, it was difficult for me to go out and shoot and know if the picture was applicable for this project. When I took the photos and looked at them in class, Mr. Landerer constantly told me it was not what he was looking for. All in all, I am happy with the images I took and edited.
For my leading lines photo, I went to Calabasas Library on Tuesday the 18th at around 3:15 pm, to take the pictures of the pillars leading to the walkway. I used an aperture of 3.5 and shutter speed of 2500. This picture was hard for me to take because I went to library the day before to take it, but when I looked at them in class I got the advice to retake it but at different angles. To edit I lowered the brightness to -13, moved the contrast to 11, and vibrancy to 80 because it was a gloomy day to this added color. Also I moved the saturation to 12 and 17, and the hue to 2. I really liked how this photo turned out and am glad with what I’m turning in. I took this photo because I liked how it was a unique way to show this assignment.
For my next and last photo, I took a picture of a piano’s keys to create repeating patterns. This photo was taken on the 19th at 3:30 pm. I used an aperture of 4.0 and a shutter speed of 15. This photo was difficult to take because I couldn’t think of an image to take that would reach the requirements of a repeating pattern. Because this photo was very bright, I used a contrast of -62 and brightness of 72, vibrancy of 76, saturation of 9, and exposure of -.30. Also, levels and curves we also adjusted. I really loved how the photo portrayed repeating patterns. I took this photo because of that.
All in all, I didn’t very much like this project because I was very lost on what to do because of my absence, but I did learn a lot from this project and cannot wait to use leading lines and repeating patterns in future projects!

This rainbow was weird and the colors kept repeating. There are three sets clearly visible and another three at least behind if you look close. Hadn't seen this phenomenon before.
I wish I had been able to zoom in closer and crop out the minutae on the sides (case in point: it really bugs me that the chain-link fence on the left is not only visible, it's easily identifiable). Taken at Diablo Valley College.
I would imagine this message is long gone from where I found it – at the skateboard park, some over four years ago. But with photographic documentation it lives on.

Daily Dog Challenge - 1185. 129 Repeating Pattern
Yesterday was spent cleaning the fifth-wheel getting ready to travel again tomorrow and I guess it just wore him out LOL.
I walked by these awesome repeating iron circles with palm trees in the center while visiting the Capital Building in Columbia. South Carolina.
