As part of one of my programs, I needed some repeatable patterns. I created a few and these are the best (so far). (I didn't use a pattern generator but Paint.Net and a grid I created.)
When I got my D40, one of the very first photos I took was one of my cat. Since then, I've taken a few more.
Today, I came home in wet, dark weather. I carried with me a D7000. Like two years ago, I find myself indoors, with only a cat to look at (I don't have spiders or smart dogs to work with).
So I've decided. Every time I get a new camera, I will take and post a picture of a cat. Dennis seems happy enough with that.
Aside from adjusting the White Balance and converting to JPEG, this image is unchanged from what the camera provided. Holy high ISO batman.

Since seeing "Next To Normal" in New York a couple of weeks ago, the cast recording has been on pretty steady repeat on my iPods, my computer at work (if I get a craving for the music, I go to the show's website where they have small snippets of songs available online - it's enough to tide me over until I can get to my iPod), and on my computer at home. While I loved the complete show of Billy Elliot (music, choreography, cast, set, everything), the music from Next To Normal has really made a place for itself in my playlist. So, if you see me listening to music, there's a very good chance that it's the cast recording of NtN. Specifically, "I Miss The Mountains", "You Don't Know", "I Am The One", "I've Been", "Seconds And Years", and "Light". I was rooting for Elton John to win the Tony Award for Best Music, but the creative team for NtN that won richly deserve the award - it's great music.
This is a repeat pattern taken from one of my mixed media drawings. It has since been digitally printed onto fabric.
