For some reason I love taking pictures of him climbing up the metal bars at the playground. I take at least on photo of him climbing every time we go to this park
This is pretty crazy. This tracking map of Katrina was from exactly seven years ago today. Of course Isaac is a much weaker storm, but still...
Walking up the hill on Sunday--
felt the strangeness of the scene,
sure that I had been before
upon this trail, by this ravine.
Saw myself and with a small dog
running up ahead of me.
Told the others who were with me--
I have walked a dog along here.
What I mean is have we owned one
since we've lived in this location?
No, there's never been a dog
and we ourselves don't know this trail.
What is with my brain, I wonder
when it sees so perfectly
something that has not occurred
yet seems to be a repeat dream.

As part of one of my programs, I needed some repeatable patterns. I created a few and these are the best (so far). (I didn't use a pattern generator but Paint.Net and a grid I created.)
This is a repeat pattern taken from one of my mixed media drawings. It has since been digitally printed onto fabric.
Gabriel Specter 'Repeat Offender' on view thru June 18th at the Pawn Works Gallery.
'...Generally refusing to work in multiples and known for precise handmade installations and paintings..."
If you look carefully around the city of Chicago, you might be lucky enough to spot some of Specter's realistic installations...like the one seen next-door to the Pawn Works gallery, an installation of various beer bottles.

This spider, (or at least this kind, I have no idea what kind it is) has taken up residence outside out front window two years in a row, near the end of summer.
It is large, like larger than my thumb large.

A perfect afternoon on Lake Superior. This beach is the Calumet Waterworks park near Calumet Michigan.
This caption repeats: This is a scene looking down a street or at an intersection or at a visual feature within the general Pinehurst neighborhood area of Seattle. Portions of this trip included forays into the Meadowbrook neighborhood. The photography and hike (see initial images for maps of hike) were intended to shed light on the North branch of Thornton Creek - a section of the city where significant portions of the natural area are private property and where there is still a somewhat "wild" feel to the neighborhood. These images document that hike.
Completed custom project titled "Break Time 2", created on stretched canvas. Mixed media acrylic painting.

Christmas wishes to everyone.....
I'm thinking about dreams at the moment. You'll laugh at this because all of my dreams have been super weird I have dreamt about:
texting a new person
dinosaurs
zombies (they invaded my school)
a knight in shining armour rescuing me (no jokes)
and so many other things.....
I would love to know about everyone elses dreams. ;D
