Both my new tripod and wireless remote control came in yesterday!

 

This is my expression when I finally realized what I was doing wrong. I kept changing the camera's mode to M, when I should have been switching the lens to M. Duh! I ought to read my instruction manual a little more carefully.

This is Kevin's new toy. It is a remote controlled skateboard. You charge it up and turn it on and there is a remote you hold in your hand that controls speed and brakes. It goes pretty fast, all you have to do it try and stay on it. You steer it like a regular skateboard. (And yes, we are too old to be riding skateboards!) (Ok, nevermind, Kevin says he isn't too old to be riding skateboards.)

I've got a new lens to play with. For months, I've watched many other Flickrites show off some amazing shots with their Nikkor 50mm 1.8 lens. Last night, I got one to play with. This was my first of many shots. Nothing special, but I love the depth of field capability this quick lens can give...
