This solar-powered vending machine is almost in the middle of nowhere on the way to Borgarfjörður Eystri.
An ice cold Coke and some snacks would have been great, but regrettably I didn't have any coins.

After a long day shooting this doll's headshots on Monday, we cooled off at Handsome Steve's House of Refreshment in Abbotsford with some wine and a view of sunny Capri...
One of my favourite PX680 shots yet.
The film behaves better when shot indoors, even though I use the frog tongue both indoors and out.
These are no longer used as refreshment rooms.
"Warragul Railway Station is architecturally significant as an example of the 'Korong Vale Style'; a small group of station buildings developed to replace the inadequate facilities at important junctions. The buildings include several features of note, such as the curved pediment motif employed in other departmental designs of the day. In addition, the metal arched trusses to the interior, the lead glass windows, the original signage and the platform furniture are all of architectural note.
Warragul Railway Station is historically significant as it serves as an important reminder of the Victorian Railway's services improvements between 1909 and 1920. The station reflects the anticipated volume of traffic and the former level of accommodation and catering provided by the Railways Department for its patrons."
In a simple yet evocative composition, this top-down view captures a glass intended for a refreshing Fanta, accidentally left untouched as the drink was instead consumed straight from the can. The vivid slice of orange nestles against the clear ice, juxtaposed against the deep, dark table. This image speaks to those small, overlooked moments that often go unnoticed in our bustling lives. The contrast of the vibrant orange against the dark backdrop not only enhances the visual appeal but also highlights the simplicity and beauty in everyday objects. It's a quiet reminder of the beauty found in the ordinary, waiting to be appreciated amidst the rush of daily routines.
Last summer, while on a lunch-break from birdwatching in the Sierras, I sat
beside a fast-flowing creek and listened to the water surging past.
And took about 1,000 photos of the water as it caught the light filtering through the trees.
Afterwards I felt amazingly refreshed.
